Great Weapon Master offers two benefits, the first is a bonus attack when you reduce a creature to 0 or crit, the second is the ability to take a -5 to an attack roll to get +10 to the damage roll.
The wording on the second benefit specifies when you make an attack with a heavy weapon, however the wording on the first simply specifies when you attack with a melee weapon.
My question thus is if I am playing a charachter who uses a non-heavy melee weapon (say a Rapier) and I have the GWM feat, would I still qualify for the first benefit (i.e. the bonus attack)?
