Question regarding my Multiclass idea

I have an Air Genasi Barbarian, at level 2. Due to lucky rolls when making my stats, I have 15+ in all stats, and due to my CON and DEX + a shield I have 21 AC. I also have 17 INT. I plan on multiclassing as wizard from now on, and was wondering what spells I should focus on, and how spell slots work when multiclassing.

I know to be careful about using spells and raging, but thank you for the reminder.
