Quick Question about line spells

Should be a simple question but I never played older additions so hopefully you can help me. One of my players wants to be dragonborn (i know I know) and since the PHB is not out I am letting him use the playtest for now. However the breath weapon says 5x30ft? What does that mean? Is it 5 30 ft long beams? he can use it 5 times? Thanks alot.

OHH haha. Seem so easy when it is layed out like that. Part of my brain just automatially made it a 5 foot square beam so the extra 5 made it redundant in my head. Thanks Mello.
