| #1Xion2008Jul 11, 2014 12:42:43 | I'm not sure I'm using the random weight chart correctly. Do I multiply the base weight for a race by the result of dice listed in the weight modifier column? So a human adventurer, with a base weight of 110lb. and a modifier of 2d4, can have a weight of range of 220 pounds to 880 pounds? This seems extreme to me. Regardless of the implication to mobility that being 880lb would impose, why limit the low end to 220lb?
Am I doing this right? |

Let's assume averages here and say the result of the height modifier roll is 11. Your human is now 5'7". Your base weight is 110 lbs, and you have a weight modifier of "x (2d4) lbs." This is where it's getting tricky. You multiply your height modifier (we used 11) by this 2d4 weight modifer to get the final number to add to the base weight. Again, going with averages the result of 2d4 is 5. So, 5*11=55 additional pounds on top of the base 110 for a final 165 lbs. |
