Ranger Beastmaster option

I am personally playing a Hunter archetype ranger and enjoying it. However, some posters don't like the casting component while others find the beast master very unappealing/ weak. 

 

Why not create a category of Ranger where there are NO spells, instead he/she gains beat master. 

 

So Ranger choices would be

1. Hunter archetype with spells or 

2. Hunter archetype with no spells and instead gain beast master ability

 

Would that correct the problem?
