I did not realize that their spells are fixed like Sorcerers. I don't understand the reasoning behind that. I think they should be able to change spells freely as Clerics, Druids, Paladins, and Wizards.  What are your thoughts.

IMO, only wizards should be able to swap spells.

Im actually surprised rangers arent a 1/3rd caster with a subclass that gives you the spells. But rangers have never been the knees bees at casting, and I think having their spells fixed is an extension of their outdoors man with awesome tricks theme. To me their spellcasting should just be secondary to their physical powers.

But it is interesting that ( excluding Bard) the spellcasters who are allowed to change spells can increase the number they know based on their wisdom/intelligence. But the casters who can't change their spells can't increase their number. They are being penalized twice. That is not fair.  I know, nothing is fair in love & war

Additionally, Paladins have just as many abilities but can know more spells and change them after rest.

Why are you making threads for every thought that pops into your head as well as posting the same thing in the more general class threads? Spam is bad.
