 Hey there,

I have been playing a campaign made by my brother in law in his created universe which is Star Trek themed as an augment rogue. And this is my first time playing and it is a blast. However we only play once a week and that just isn't enough for me. I would like to start playing with actual d&d characters and story lines, however picking out a character has been rather rough. There is just so much to read and research (which I have been doing) but I would like some advice. My ideal character is true neutral, with rogue qualities such as high dex and stealthy attributes ( I rather like stealing anything I can and had the most fun robbing a bank at night by myself) but I don't want to be an ugly character because for some reason, I just feel like being sexy would be more fun to imagine. Crazy, I know. If anyone has any suggestions on races, and if you could include racial benefits (I understand them a little) I would be very grateful. I am so cool and think about it everyday and I just want to do it and maybe start a campaign with some friends. I was thinking about getting a starter pack with a campaign included to get us all used to it (I understand the rules differ slightly from my brother in laws. Also he is way too nice of a gm so I need to also get accustomed to someone who won't mine me dying), however I do just need some help finding the perfect race for my sexy bad ass rogue that can rob anyone and anything blind

Halfling.

You can use the Basic PDF to make characters for 5e. Or pick one from the Pre-Generated Character Repository. Here's one I made, called Parallel Reedstool. He's a blackmailer, rather than a bank robber, but you can change that how you like.

Have fun
