Restbot Concept

We all know what a Healbot is, but what's a Restbot?

Good question. At it's very basic a Restbot is a level 6 Book Warlock, level 3 Dragon Sorcerer. The basic concept is you take the invocation that lets you copy ritual spells and cast them as a ritual, pick up a ritual copy of Leomund's Tiny Hut, and the use the Extended Spell Metamagic to double it's duration. Cue an infinite (if need be) supply of 16 hour Tiny Huts, that'll stick around until someone successfully casts Dispel Magic.

Future levels are free to choose, although Support/Healing is probably reccomended, especially if you're a fifth wheel.

Inspiring Leader seems a must.

And counter spell.  So you can prevent dispelling.

Whoops, I forgot to explain why it's awesome, although it's pretty simple:

When Extended, Leomund's Tiny Hut provides a 16 hour sanctuary, except maybe from burrowing foes. Long rests take 8 hours. Combined with the ability for physical objects to leave the boundry, a Restbot can throw down a near-impenitrable fortress given enough time that your ranged weapon users can shoot out of, unseen no less and thus with advantage.

I understand the apeal of the hut.  Even though you can't move it.

But...  A character can’t benefit from m ore than one long rest in a 24-hour period.

Bard 5,  or Wizard 5 get's it a level sooner then warlocks.

If you want to be MAD Wizard/Sorcerer is the quickest that can cast it as a ritual. Even if you can only long rest 1/day, with Hut you can still short rest. As long as there's no time limit (and the enemies not going to simply sod off) you're good.

The main problem you'd face is dealing with your pissed-off DM

Bard 10/Sorcerer 3/Life Cleric 7? Or is Bard 17 > Bard 10/Cleric 7?

So i'm thinking the best might simply be a straight up elf bard or wizard.

Elfs only need 4 hours of rest, so they can just keep up the huts indefinatly without needing sorcerer.

Bards can get create food and water and goodbery, and you don't ever need to leave your hut.

Wizard get more total spells, and abilities like scrying + divination, or minor creation to make arrows (and elfs are longbow proficency).

I'm now picturing the ultimate Hermit, never leaving their hut, even for food.

Sweeet.

Similar idea to stick an Extend on Rope Trick (is this possible) to guarantee a Short Rest.  Climbing up the rope takes a smidge of time, as does climbing down.  So it isn't entirely Combat ending or safe or by-passing, without the extend.  'Course this feels like a few rounds of paranoia.

Similar yes. A Warlock 5/Sorcerer 3 can be a Short Restbot with the Rope Trick, upgrading to Long Restbot next level. Has to be Warlock for the Short Restbot though, they're the only one with short rest recharging Spell Slots.
