Does a spell with the ritual tag have to be written into a spellbook (or prayerbook?) specifically as a ritual for a Warlock (Tome) with the BoAS invocation to be able to copy it into his Tome?

I'm not aware of a difference in how it gets written, only in how some characters can cast it. So far as I'm aware, the answer is no.

"Specifically as a ritual" has no meaning in the game. Written spells are written spells, and if that written spell has the ritual tag, it can go into the Book of Ancient Secrets. (The trick is finding it, because warlocks don't get new rituals as they advance. You can copy it out of your buddy wizard's spellbook, but it's rare that having more than one person with a ritual is much help for the party.)

I think it's within the DM and players purview about how the Warlocks Book of Ancient Secrets looks and works, it a fantasy role playing game after all.

My Warlock character with mysterious librarian powers, has a book which she uses as cover. But her real Book of Shadows is a stone with a natural hole.

To transcribe rituals, she has to write them on parchment, with expensive inks, then burn the parchment with a special fragranced fire.

As long as the costs are met and the time taken to perform the ritual and any necessary components are used, the actual appearance doesn't matter.

In in theory you could make 3 different warlock ritualists, one looks like a Wizard and writes in their Grimoire or Spellbook, another who has a psi stone or crystal, which needs certain exotic resources to empower it, or another who needs to bang their shamanic drum, which must be blessed in a certain way with a suitable donation to the spirit who passes the ritual or to a cause that spirit desires. As long as the gold and time costs are met, or more then does it really matter.

To perform her rituals: Summon Familiar and Speak with Animals, she has to meditate and attune her mind to her stone. She makes it look like she is engrossed in her book. She's a Warlock, she doesn't have to reveal all her secrets and can do things differently from other ritualists.

A Warlock with the Eyes of the Runekeeper invocation, will see the spell structure and ritual written in full upon or within the stone. Detect Magic will reveal that the stone is magical, Identify will reveal that the stone is strange magick and its a Spellbook. Spells to decipher secret writing will reveal the rituals as well.

She has recently learned more rituals courtesy of other players, she had to pa for the tuition and the spells, but now she has more rituals.

Wizards and Bards will learn rituals easily, whereas a Warlock has to use their persuasion or deception or intimidating skills to get rituals.
