Hey folks,

I got a question. Once I read a book and there was a race mentioned, it was a long limbed, big eyed race. This race was most likely physically powerful compared to humans. It was in a D&D Book and this was the only description or hints they gave. Do you have an idea what kind of humanoid race this could be?

Oh, and to exclude some races, it can't be one of those:

Kobolds

Giants
Trolls
Orcs
Gnomes
Sprites
Elves
Centaur and Wemic
Ogres
Pixies
Dwarves

Honestly, it could be almost anything. Anything from a Bullywog to a Changeling to an Illithid (Mindflayer). You probably need more clues such as what sort of terrain it inhabited.

Here is a list of the majority of monsters printed a part of 2E. The entries have pictures so maybe that could help.

Thanks for the link ^^.

The only thing hinted at the terrain was:

My second goblet came from the hand of the flame-haired woman, but the name I drank was
Pennarin and the battles he fought in the south against a long-limbed, big-eyed race.

The only official thing I found was from Dark Sun, where Pennarin was a champion in charge of eradicating the Centaur. Though they're on your list of creatures it can't be. The book where Pennarin is mentioned is titled "The Rise and Fall of A Dragon King".

Aren't the Thri-kreen long-limbed and big eyed? They're also much more powerful compared to the standard human.
