(If you have not seen it give it a try) We were wondering how to build characters with similar abilities. For those who do not know there are 8 individuals who all wake up after a bad dream and are psychically linked. They have the ability to communicate and share skills. The question is how to make this work without everyone in the party getting to be OP???? |

They don't really offer any real mechanical advantage for combat etc so they will mainly affect out of combat exploration and investigation. The Dm wuld be designing the adventure with sens8s in mind so I doubt the abilities would break their game. |

But if you want it simple, let's say your sense8 partyis composed of a fighter, a wizard and a rogue.
If the rogue decide to use the wizard spell ability, that will cost the rogue bonus action to tap in the wizard ability, then the rogue will cast teh wizard using the wizard spell per day limitation. So yes technically the first round of combat the rogue fighter and wizard could cast a fireball each, but then the wizard will have consume 3 fireball and will be out of spell level 3 untill his short rest. |

depending on how complex you want to make it, take the reaction away from the wizard then? so only the rogue can cast fireball from the wizard, since when the fighter try the wizard doesn't have his reaction to loose?
if you want even more complex, then give disavantage on the wizard next attack role, saving throw or ability check?
If you want even more complex, create a new stats that will govern the among of time you can use such an ability etc... |
