| #1quoralFeb 01, 2015 14:20:52 | Hi all, I am new to 5e and haven't played since 3.5 so I'm a little rusty. I'm returning to my old group and they are starting to play 5e so I need a bit of help understanding the possibilities.
My idea for this character is a trickster cleric with a Robin Hood complex. I think there will be a more traditional cleric in the party so healing won't be his only responsibility. DM is restricting races to Human, Dwarf, Halfling, and maybe Half-Elf due to the setting. Deities are Old World gods like Greek, Roman, Norse, and Eqyptian pantheons (maybe others). So my question is: How close can I make this cleric like a rogue? I would rather not multiclass since it lowers his spellcasting ability.
What gods would fit a CG cleric of trickery?
If he takes the Criminal Background can he find/disarm traps?
What skills would be most important?
Should I do Human variant for the feat? What feat?
I'm sure I'm missing something but those are the questions I can think of at the moment. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks |

The Ritual feat while further afield, can open up some trickery too, like a Familiar sneaking around for you.
Still have room for 16+2+2 in Wisdom. Halfling + Skulker is another possibility.
