Hey Fellow Gamers,

Our DM wil allow us to multiclass into 2 classes - he wants a really good RP reason is we wish to add a third class into the mix.

We will be using a point-buy system with bonus points, but the DM is being secretive about how many bonus points he's willing to grant us.

I have decided I wish to play a Sorcerer with a Martial Twist, as I absolutely love the Lvl 14 Wings and ability to fly while wearing armor.

I'm also quite taken with the Vengeance Oath of the Paladin.

But I know our DM will try and kill us over and over., because she's a Devious Mastermind of Pure Evilness.

I would want my character to be able to survive.

I've read and browsed the forums for some information about Sorcerers and come across very useful and very helpful information, but I'm looking for some qualified advice before we start creating the characters.

Will a Paladin/Sorcerer Combination work well?

My other player will most likely be playing a bard.

Thanks Guys!

If you want wings I'd ignore Multiclassing entirely and focus on surviving to 14.

Having a DM whose main goal is to kill the players must make for a rough gameplay experience. Paladin would help your survivability, but I agree with Yunru that if he is really pitting himself as "the enemy" against you and has a greater intent to  kill the characters than to ensure that he creates a fun, challenging experience, then you might be better served just surviviing as a single class sorcerer until lv 14. Seriously, the role of the DM is to create encounter that are challenging and fulfilling while contributing to the story. If every encounter is a serious threat to the players' lives, it will get old real quick.

You don't have to out-run the DM. You only have to out-run the Bard.
