Spell Descriptions for Each Class

One of my biggest pet peeves with the Player's Handbook is the way the spells are organized. Has anyone found a spell list sorted by class? I have found many, but none of them include descriptions and effects. I am basically looking for the spell descriptions in the PHB organzied by class. I did this by hand for the Paladin spells (it took a few hours) in a word document, which turned my Kindle into a "Paladin spell book" which was really helpful while playing.

Has anyone found such a resource? I don't know why Wizards organized the spells the way they did with needing to flip back and forth a million times between pages to check spell options.

Thanks!

It'd be less of a hassle if the individual spells referred back to their classes (I.e. Compelled Duel would say level 1 enchantment (paladin), Cure Wounds is a level 1 conjuration (bard, cleric, druid, paladin, ranger) and the like). I haven't done what you wish, but it is on my list of things to do (modifying a 5e spreadsheet with the descriptions instead of just the parameters).

Consensus is that including description in a sortable open document would violate IP.  Also, typing 250 descriptions in by hand would take order of magnitude more effort than the limited 'fair use' versions you've seen.

If you start by copying and pasting from the printer friendly basic rules PDF, and then fill in the blanks by typing them in manually, it shouldn't take all that long.

Only took me a lazy weekend to make my own set (which to be clear I specifically will not share because to do so is to infringe upon WotC's copyright, and I'm not into that).

Yeah it really bugs me that they didn't list which classes could cast the spells and at what spell level in the descriptions of the spells they did that in 3.5.

I made an Excel spread with spell name, level, availability by class, if it's a ritual or not, sphere, and then bolded those spells that are class specific. The PHB itself is just not very helpful so I suspect I'm not alone in doing that.

I also have a nice chart that lists how many spells each class shares with each other class and how many class specific spells each class has. I think I posted my chart somewhere on rpg.net a few months ago. Did you know that the Sorcerer has no class specific spells and the Wizard has 30 and the Cleric has 27? Did you know that 95% of the Sorcerer's spells are also Wizard spells? That the Paladin has a highest percentage, 38%, of unique spells? That Warlocks and Rangers share exactly zero spells? True!
