| #1orialchumMay 07, 2015 0:11:22 | My gm is going to be running a Planescape game and said I could take a hamster for my Beastmaster Ranger. The only problem is what the best stats for such a creature would be. On one hand it should be appropriate for a hamster, but it should also be relevant for a beastmaster. Any suggestions? |

I'm afraid your character got ripped off. What he's got there isn't a miniature giant space hamster. It's just a regular giant space hamster with a diminish spell cast on it. That magic will wear off over time, so your characters giant space hamster will slowly grow back to it's giant size. Fortunately for a beastmaster ranger that means the critter will de-shrink at a rate equal to the size of the creature allowed by the ranger (or was that tied to challenge of the creature?). At medium size I'd say it can use the stats of a wolf (with abilities modified a bit) and at large size the stats of a bear.
Edit: Oops, read up on the beastmaster ranger. You never get to choose an animal higher than challenge rating 1/4 or bigger than medium. Rat stats it is.

World's Shortest Tall Man World's Tallest Short Man World's Fattest Thin Man World's Thinnest Fat Man
(same guy answers the door) (the book also had an Ultraloth, even though it wasn't called that)

There's no need to invent stats here at all, just reskin it. |
