| #1Knight_MarshalNov 05, 2014 4:06:52 | Ever since seeing the movie Desperado, I have wanted to make a Halfling character based off of the Columbian who threw knives/daggers and have it be effective.
I know I would need some rogue to try and get sneak attack as much as possible and maybe some fighter (champion?). Since the ranged feats don't work AFAIK for thrown weapons, are there any good feats to take?
Thats all I have tie for right now, I have to go to work. I will check this when I get back home to reply and/or refine this.
Thanks |

So you can sneak attack with thrown halflings.
The problem is having a ready supply of halflings. |

| #6raleelNov 05, 2014 5:50:59 | Well, if you offer the Halfling a decent wage and perhaps some incentive to stay in your country, I imagine you should have no problem getting a ready supple, and they probably will return. |

So lets see, we need Tavern Brawler for proficiency with our improvised thrown weapon, and Sharpshooter so we can toss the full 60 ft. without disadvantage. We may want to be a rogue so we can sneak attack with our thrown halfling, and our halfling should be a rogue so they can come back to us easily. The halfling could then also ready an action to attack when in range of the target. We would either need a 3rd ally adjacent to the target to enable sneak attack, or a kind DM granting advantage on our attacks because of how unorthodox they are.... |
| #8VaristhenesNov 05, 2014 8:43:44 | Throwing is kinda weak in 5th unforutnately due to not having the ammunition property and how object interactions work. |

| #14WrithaniNov 05, 2014 12:35:03 | Though if you're a rogue/barbarian, then just max dex and con and forego the armor entirely. 22AC at 24 Con and 20 Dex, putting you equivalent to +2 magic plate with a shield, or +4 magic plate with no shield. |

| #16IxidorRSNov 05, 2014 13:36:21 | Oh crap, that's not what he was asking about was it? We should get back to that.
