#1 Kahless Sep 03, 2015 4:55:33	Always do like a good character death story. I thought we might share some of our 5E demises.   Unfortunately, I don't have a 5E death to relate myself. Still on my first character.   Bonus points for epitaphs or a Spoon River (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoon_River_Anthology) type write up.
#2 jaappleton Sep 03, 2015 5:09:50	Party is a Light Cleric (myself), a dual wielding Fighter that's been turned into an Illithid due to an enchanted wand, and an Ancients Paladin. In a town where we suspect some really creepy stuff is going on, we find a book. A Tome, really. I discover it's an ancient text of Bhaal, holding immense power. I don't even want to put it into my pack and bring it to a Temple of Moradin, I'm that frightened and creeped out by it. Fighter doesn't care. Paladin and my Cleric discuss what to do with it. I think of burying it. Paladin walks up to the book and decides to drive his sword through it. As a player, my eyes go wide and I actually scream out, "NO DON'T-" and all my Cleric can do is watch as my Paladin friend is wreathed in black flame before disappearing into nothingness.
