But if you are playing a higher-power game, it could still work.

| #5MechaPilotDec 22, 2014 15:08:23 | Flight is a VERY situational ability. I wouldn't charge anything for it.
In a dungeon, unless it has cathedral ceilings, flight is getting you nowhere. If your wings are of a reasonable size, you may not even be able to fully extend them inside a dungeon corridor: that makes them generally useless for preventing falls due to traps.
Outside, flight is also situational. Sure, flight can get you over certain obstacles, but you still have to wait for your party. Flight combined with spells and ranged attacks can be very powerful, but that assumes that you can actually see the target. In a wooded environment, flight can easily result in your vision of the target being blocked by a canopy of leaves. And, depending on how heavily wooded an area is, you may again not be able to fully spread your wings in the woods. |
