| #1SearinoxNagharhaSep 29, 2015 11:17:16 | Now I have been playing with a few builds now and I think this is the way I want to go, at first I wanted to go pure Warlock but felt my options limited. The Reason for 3lvls Warlock would be to get access to the Warlocks lvl2 Spells and a Pact weapon (this mostly for Fluff reasobs but ow well ;) ) Tbe thing I am wandering most tho is how to go about this. I'd like to start off with the Bard (as most my lvls will go in there anyway) and then continue the next 3 lvls in Warlock, but wont i start to lag behind at this point? Thats my biggest concern atm. Thanks in advance |

You don't really get anything from it except the ability to dismiss your blade and make it reappear when you want, at the cost of an action. And you can get around any lack of weapon proficiencies, I suppose. But that doesn't seem like much. I would think if you're only going to dip 3 levels, Chain or Tome would give you more, especially Tome if you take Shillelagh. Your Charisma will already be high as a Bard, with Shillelagh you can use it as your weapon attack stat as well, reducing your dependence on Strength/Dexterity(though since you're likely to be in light armor you'll want good Dex anyway). Keep in mind that as a Bard you can take some spells from any class' list at 10th, 14th and 18th level(including Warlock), and also at 6th level if you go Lore instead of Valor. Stopping at Warlock 3 and going back to Bard means you'll be at a total level of 8 before you get your first ASI/Feat slot, something to consider. Which Warlock spells are you itching to make use of so early on? |

Naturally the Warlock fitted into this ;) I was just trying to fit that idea into the Bard as it fits my playstyle more. Thnx for the help Pdegan! |
