| #1whitishknightOct 21, 2014 9:29:17 | Hi, I'm thinking about building a wizard around the idea of being extraordinarily lucky and starting at level 1. Here are the following Pros & Cons of each race from what I can gather. I'm using the standard ability score array.
I think I'll be aiming to get the Lucky feat, Resilient (Constitution), and a full Intelligence of 20.
Variant Human +1 Intelligence and +1 Constitution Pros
Cons
Stout Halfling Pros
Cons
Looking at this, it looks like Stout Halflings really struggle unless the Lucky racial trait is worth a lot. So I guess the essential question is how much is the Lucky racial trait worth? |

I kind of see a bit of bard in there too, using bardic inspiration to help simulate happy-go-lucky-whistling-guy. So far for my wife whos playing a halfling monk, Lucky has saved her life more than once. |

Not to say that either CAN'T work, but if you wanna go for the EXTREME luck, it'd be Halfling+Lucky, Especially since levels 1-3 just kinda zoom on by... |

I believe luck could be applied to the Sorcerer's Wild Magic surges and frankly, a person who relies on luck is generally not as intelligent as I imagine most wizards to be. It sounds more like someone who relies on a little bit of charm and a whole lot of luck. |
