Formless Servitors are most often encountered as the familiars of warlocks who serve Great Old Ones. These malevolent creatures are extensions of their unknowable patron, bestowed with a dim, wicked intelligence and will. When at rest, a formless servitor appears as a featureless sphere of glossy black, cold and slightly sticky to the touch. When in motion, the entity is a seething mass of black protoplasm, constantly extruding and absorbing eyes, mouths, and lashing pseudopods. They never sleep, and make excellent scouts and sentries. If slain, they crumble into a foul-smelling black powder.

Spider Climb. The formless servitor can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Amorphous. The formless servitor can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Actions Multiattack: The formless servitor makes two attacks with its pseudopods.

Low CR, patron-appropriate abilities, a great scout that's a bit bigger than other choices but completely immune to any divination spell that might allow enemies to locate it, and the ability to make someone reek horribly once per day; seems like it's pretty good as a familiar but not overpowered.
But then again, I try to work flumphs into everything. |
