Warlock Multiclass Help

So I am multiclass into the warlock at levels 6-7 and I was wondering whether or not I used my overall level for the purpose of meeting invocation requirements or my warlock level. I really want the invocation that allows you to hide in shadows but I am not really sure whether or not I meet the level 5 requirement. If not cool, there are other thematic invocations I can take but I thought I would ask and see if anyone could help. Thanks.

Cantrips use total character level

Invocation requirements use Warlock level.
