so my group has a player who loves to PK almost to the point of looking to PK sometimes. This player has nearly TPK before. We started our first 5E game a few months ago and we are getting to the point where PK could happen and for decent enough reasons. I started looking into a possible back up character and this got me thinking. If a character is killed by another player, you could actually open up the idea of making a pact and coming back for vengeance. It wouldn't even be that difficult to do. The character needs mask of many faces and you can have a character come back as either fiend or celestial home brew warlock and really have some fun. Is this a solid idea or just something not worth doing and how would you go about it if you wanted to try?

Why do you keep playing with this player in the group?

He completely makes playing an adventure or worse a campaign pointless as his interest is not in solving the campaign, but how he can kill the other players.

When he makes his characters i would bet they are all designed for fighting the players, not for the adventure. Which begs to ask why then bother player the adventure when the gm can just create an arena, make you all gladiators to face off. He could run it like the tv series Spartacus, but players will have a high chance of death.

Otherwise, again why are you even playing with this player at all?

It sounds horrible. I hope you guys get this out of your system eventually, you'll find that cooperative gameplay and storytelling is a lot more fun than worrying whether someone in the group is going to stab you in the back. But, if it's what you all love to do, and everyone's OK with it, have at it.

This sounds like the kind of situation where it would be better to talk with the problem player out the game than to try and "get even" with them in-game.
