| #1Mad_JackAug 23, 2014 8:52:01 | What Do YOU Think My Character Looks Like?, Pt. 2Ever wonder how other people see your character?Need a picture for your character but can't find one? Got an awesome pic for your character, but the hair's the wrong color?
We may be able to help with that.
(NOTE: This thread is currently under construction, and if you think any of the wording or formatting could be better, please feel free to send me any suggestions you have in a personal message...)
This thread is a continuation of the original "What Do YOU Think My Character Looks Like?" thread, located HERE, in the 4E Character Development forum...
The purpose of this thread is to provide a concerted and consolidated community effort to help find images for your RPG characters, and where necessary to modify them to be closer to your vision of your character.
A Brief History Show The original thread started sometime around 2008 as a simple forum game:
I post a brief description of a character, and you reply with an image of what you think that character looks like. This quickly became less of a game and more of a simple "Find me a picture" thread when I and several others with Photoshop skills began to modify images before posting them. People soon began to post images they had found on their own with requests to modify them. And thus, the original thread gained it's long-running two-fold purpose. |

When Posting Character Descriptions
Show Although it's nice to see your entire character sheet and four-page backstory, it's not really necessary.
While character class and level may provide general guidelines for what sort of armor/gear and magical bling your character has, simply listing their gear and physical details is much more effective.
What we need most to find you a good picture are physical details and visual descriptions. Big details are most important.
This includes:
- The character's race, age and sex
Minor details are also helpful but less important. This might include:
For example...
"Sier Melvin, fifth Lord of Snootville
Expensively-dressed, arrogant-looking, entitled nobleman, overly fond of fine wine
...rather elegantly and efficiently conjures up an image of a rich snob in ceremonial armor at some official function holding a wineglass and scoffing at something or someone (who probably has their back turned). |

THIRD POST UNDER CONSTRUCTION
|
| #4YunruAug 23, 2014 9:30:32 | So I've a request ranging from really simple to quite elaborate depending upon how creative someone wants to be. Rather than describe the character, I found something very similar so I'll just post that and say how they're not alike.
Now for the differences:
Now the above only required a change to the picture posted, the below would require a different picture.
The dual hand crossbows is also a very cool (imo) part of my character's concept, but it's not essential.
So thanks to anyone who feels like taking up either. |
| #5Plaguescarred1Aug 23, 2014 9:39:59 | Thanks for doing this Mad_Jack #YouDaBoss
A suggestion i might had would be to number request, would that help address further correspondance regarding request?
|
| #6Plaguescarred1Aug 23, 2014 9:39:19 | #02 Looking for a female bearded dwarf, warrior type looking if possible thanks! |
| #7melloredAug 23, 2014 9:46:01 | #3 a warforged dressed like this (including wig), or something similar.
|
| #8Mad_JackAug 23, 2014 10:26:57 |
Eh, the posts themselves are numbered, so trying to keep track of numbering the requests is redundant as we can just reference the post number. (Plus, if request number seven gets filled before request number six, you just know someone's going to start complaining, lol) Also, when I contact the mods to have this post stickied, I'm going to have the requests from akaddk's original 5E forum portrait request thread melded into this one as well, so it'd probably screw up the numbering anyway...
As for the bearded lady dwarf, do you want her visibly female or just as stocky as a male? There's two ways to do a bearded female dwarf - put the beard on a female or put breasts on a male (and resculpt the face to be more feminine). A typical dwarf-length beard will probably cover up a set of breasts, so a female would most likely require at least a somewhat shorter beard in order to represent as female unless you go for a slightly less bulky, more curvy body type... Which basically brings us to 4E-style artwork for female dwarves and a handful of fan art pieces. (Quite honestly, 4E is basically the only thing out there. Well, the only good thing - all the rest is either videogame screenshots or fan art.) There do seem to be a few fan art illustrations of dwarven women with short, more modern-looking beards/muttonchop sideburns but they're somewhat cartoonish.

Edit: You can find nice big picures of her here

| #12VeleriaAug 25, 2014 11:32:48 | This character is blind and has made a warlock pact in order to gain some sight back. I was hoping someone could remove color from the iris of her eyes so it is faint almost milky but still shows some light color as opposed to pure white to indicate she is blind. If you are feeling industrious I envisioned her hair as black when I created the character (not super goth, just black) and if you have the time or inclination that would be nice as well but the eyes are most important to me so the people I play with get the feeling of a creepy blind girl staring into their soul.

| #32Thank_DogAug 28, 2014 4:07:47 | I can never quite find the right picture for this character. He's an elven male, tall at 6'1", wiry and lean but well proportioned. His face is angular in the way of elves but handsome, in a masculine way. He has long, straw-coloured hair that is tied back by payots into a pony tail. He wears simple clothing so as not to stand out. His leather, hooded cloak is tan on one side and grey on the other so that he can switch it around quickly. He wears brown leather breeches and calf-high leather boots that are comfortable and light. He wears a white linen tunic, open at the neck and a sheepskin vest over it. He is always wary and watchful for danger, never letting down his guard. At his belt, he carries a couple of simple leather pouches. He has jade-green eyes and a tanned, weathered look despite his otherwise youthful appearance.
Other than that, he doesn't wear any (obvious) weaponry. He doesn't stand in some artifical action pose like he's some attention-seeking sadomasochist. His entire aim is to avoid detection and slip by unnoticed. If he can fulfil his mission without anyone knowing he was in town, then that is his preference so he doesn't walk around covered in weaponry, equipment and a big sign saying, "HI I AM AN ADVENTURER!!!!!"
I wouldn't mind a picture with him carrying a throwing knife in his hand but no other types of weaponry. |

The pic here (http://dragonsorcsandgeeks.tumblr.com/post/45332423874/dragonborn-fighter) is almost what I want. The things you would have to change is his color, his weapons, his armor if able, and if at all possible put some boots/greaves on his ugly feet if possible. If you cand do that or find something like that could you tell me. |

Maybe you guys can help me find a picture to honor my first DnD character I ever made back in 3.5. Ruttig Ridge Dwarven Barbarian, Dragon Slayer!
He was dressed in various hide armor, one pauldron was dragon scales (blue). Long wild red hair that ran into his beard. He had minor scarring on any exposed flesh, such as hands, arms, and face. He wielded a wonderful great axe and net. |
| #53Thank_DogSep 02, 2014 22:22:01 | I have another character that I haven't been able to find the perfect picture for yet. The closest I have come is linked below. The only issue I really have with it is that the style is for a comic book and I prefer a more "realistic" and "gritty" style of art. I know the character is from a comic book series but all the other pictures I could find of him are significantly different and not at all depicting the type of warrior that is depicted in this picture. This picture would be perfect if not for the style.

| #54Mad_JackSep 03, 2014 19:40:19 |
So, chain shirt, bracers, pauldrons, longish dark hair, with a longsword? Pretty sure I've seen similar images, possibly in Pathfinder artwork. Is the character average build for a fighter or pretty big and bulky? Shouldn't be too hard to put something together.
We could paste some armor on this guy and change out his weapon, remove the eyepatch...
If this guy's not too barbarian, we can change out the axe...
This guy's wearing a shirt under the armor and a cloak over it, but we can ditch the bow and slap on a different head/haircut...
I can find some more tomorrow when I have more time.

| #56PhillPowellSep 05, 2014 10:09:30 | Hello!
First up I adore this thread, you guys are awesome!
I have searched for hours to find a pic that matches my character but I found nothing so I need some help.
OK so I am playing a human Ranger, he has insane Dex and Wis and was 'taught' by wood elves.
He is 6'2" tall, thin with thick black hair and beard and bright green eyes.
He has studded leather armour and is a savant with a Longbow...he loves his longbow! He also has two short swords strapped to his back (the handles pointing up and slightly out above each shoulder) and has a bandolier of throwing daggers diagonally accross his torso.
He is very stealthy and the wood elves gave him the nickname of 'Lhorn' which translates to 'quiet water' which he gained because of the inner peace he radiates in his beloved forest home. He HATES Orcs and Goblins.
I think that is all I can tell you, anything else please let me know.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer |
| #57CrowWrenHawkSep 09, 2014 0:55:32 | Hi Guys, I don't know if I'm asking too much with this or what, but I was wondering if this character's stomach could be covered in chain, or even the white/silver leather she is wearing elsewhere. |
| #58Tech-PriestSep 09, 2014 7:40:15 | LONG time no post. Been playing 2e and having a blast!
Sword needs removed; Could use a version with no sword & one with no sword + dagger added in somewhere...Thanks!
|
| #59Mad_JackSep 09, 2014 19:39:20 |
@ CrowWrenHawk:
Recoloring the stomach to match the leather outfit shouldn't be difficult.
@Tech-Priest:
The original of that image doesn't have the sword in it... There's, hmm, maybe four or five versions of it by now, gonna have to dig them up and compare colors, I don't think the others are that shade of green. Taking out the sword is either a matter of cutting and pasting different versions of the image together, or cutting and pasting then recoloring to match. Should be doable.
In any event, it'll be a couple of days at least until I can get to them, unless somebody else does them first.

| #62Angel7Sep 10, 2014 19:02:25 | Dear Mad Jack, I absolutely love Yunri's full spread photo in post #4. Is it possible to give her dual shortswords in place of those crossbows? Excuse my ignorance, but I'm not very computer literate and am assuming it would be harder due to the fact that there is a background rather than just solid background color. As this is a humble request, glowing green eyes would be cool too. Very cool of you to be offering your time to us and extremely appreciated. I would also like to encourage people to check out all the great pics on pinterest and deviantart. There are so many great characters out there that it should reduce the amount / extent of change requests .
Thank you in advance Mad Jack.

| #64LordOfTheChanceSep 10, 2014 19:46:34 | Good Evening Gents!
This thread is amazing! There's some great work here and I've really enjoyed looking through it all. I was wondering if this picture could be modified ia few ways (just found this picture and I love it!):
1) make the character bald with a shaved head & light green eyes 2) Remove the black spots on the face/shoulders and remove/blend the cheek lines for a slightly more handsome face 3) Replace the spear with a large stone maul. 4) Remove/change the goat skull belt buckle.
The character is a 6'9" half orc barbarian that doesn't wear armor (and few clothes). He has ash grey skin, a shaved head and is very strongly built with numerous scars (which he proudly shows). He normally carries a shield (back) and long sword (hip) in addition to the large maul. The maul is his preferred weapon (maul). He is attractive, for a half orc, but he often falls prey to a foul temper.
I'm pretty excited to see what you can come up with. Thanks in advance! |

Thank you in advance.

He was rased in one of the eldarin cities after his parents died protecting him from various fey beasts and he was rescued by his friend Eldan, he worked as a spy against the Fomorian and eventualy escaped the Feywild with the blessing of an archfey to become a fey-lock. He has the traditional teifling red skin and his eyes are the deepest black, but flash gold whenever he uses a warlock power. He has dark brown hair that flows just past the base of his neck, horns that curve upwards (kind or like this) and wears leather armor of varring shades of dark-red and black. He wears a simple, but fine cloak across his shoulders and weilds a staff of ruin in his right hand with a light sheild and rod of corruption in the left. He wears metal gauntlets but leather boots and a blood-red pendant around his neck. I want his pose to be like the second male one, but more ready to fight at a moments notice and shadows swirling around his lower legs (like the warlock' shadow walk' class feature) |

| #129gandraschSep 25, 2014 9:29:13 | Haven't had luck with google, so I'm asking here.
Looking for a picture of a huge guy (6' 5" / 195cm) in fullplate (like him or him) but with
a) bit cleaner (but not shiny!) armor, which is more paladin (even if its a grim paladin) like. So now skulls, chaos symbols and stuff. b) a glaive/halberd as a weapon (like this one but with a bigger ending or maybe another small edge) c) a helm would be cool otherwise he should be bald
Maybe you have more luck than me. I think I once saw a picture but can't remind myself.
Thanks a lot.
Edit: Found a good picture but the glaive is missing and its bit small. But I want an armor like that.

| #130Kragov21Sep 25, 2014 11:32:03 | If the talented community could help me out, I'd be incredibly grateful.
Looking for a male tiefling ranger, 25 years old, has a build of lean muscle and a height of 6' 2". Preferably wearing leather armor, maybe a greenish-brown cloak as well, with a bow and a quiver if it's there. Equipment that is suitable for a ranger that's lived in the woods most of his life. Hair is brown, tied into a braid down his back, but I realize that may be hard to find so loose is perfectly alright. He's realistic and focused on his survival, and has a history of stealing if any of that makes a difference. Eye color is gold, maybe even a bit on the brass-like side.
EDIT: Knew I forgot something. If you know of an image that matches that and also has a bear in it, I would be completely amazed, as he has a bear companion. I'm more looking for the character himself, but the bear would be an incredible bonus.
FURTHER EDIT(Am I going overboard yet?): I found an image that's exactly what I'm looking for in the face and head portion. I'm posting it here in the thread in case anyone else is looking for tiefling art.

| #131Yag007Sep 25, 2014 11:24:53 | This may be a tough one because of how specific it is XD. interested to see with what you come up with though:
Rai'un, Human, Monk 2 Warlock 2 atm
Appearance: 24yrs old, 5’11” 178lb, Dark skinned with an ashen pallor. neck length black hair with a constant disheveled look. wiry but athletic build all springy muscle and sinew. light grey irises with flecks of green. Rai'un has uncommonly long arms which gives him a slightly offputting look

| #132Jimbo_on_FireSep 25, 2014 11:45:57 | Hi, I've got a forest gnome monk. I want him as a ninja because that's what he will become level 3.
He's 3'8, 47 (very young for a gnome) brown messy hair, brown eyes, trimmed beard, carries a straight ninja sword and ninja knives. He's a bit odd because he group up in a secluded jungle monastery with four other gnome monks.
I'd like him to look like a ninja, but not just a plain black one, I'd really like him to have a scarf like Stryder and for it tochange color like Viewtiful Joe's cape. I'd also like his arms to be exposed and maybe some tattoos.
It may seem weird but in terms of color I'd really like a pair of trainers I've got and if the colors on them could be included that would be awesome, I'd like the blue to be the main color. I'll include links for images of Stryder, Viewtiful Joe and my trainers below.
Thanks,
James.

Gandrasch, that white lining around the objects you paste into pictures is the result of the program grabbing too many pixels, and possibly also the settings for how hard or soft the edges of things are... Any time you select something for pasting, always zoom in enough to see the individual pixels and adjust the outline of what you want to grab by hand, rather than relying on the program to do it all. The program relies on mathematical differences in the colors of the pixels, rather than the human eye which translates the contrast between the colors into things it knows. Sometimes the program adds too many pixels, sometimes it doesn't grab enough. Anytime you make a change in an image, always give it the old eyeball test first.
After you paste something into an image, always go in and blend, blend, blend - this is the key to making things look like they were always there. Use the cloning tool at about 85% transparency and move it over just the very edge of the object, to smooth out the pixelation caused by cutting and pasting and to blend the color of the object with the color of whatever's around and behind it. Sometimes it helps to sample colors of the nearby background and go over the edges or even sometimes the whole object at 95% or higher transparency, which will be just enough to subtly tint the object rather than recoloring it.

| #139Thank_DogSep 30, 2014 16:13:48 | I'd just like to say that I post requests in this thread a lot because I tend to end up either making characters or finding images for characters for other people. So these requests aren't all for me. If anyone is annoyed that I'm making a lot of requests, by all means feel free to ignore them
With that said, here's another request
This image with the sword hilt and the gun excised. The Legends of the Cryptids logo excised would be nice but if it's too much work it's no big deal.
Also, I've never heard of this game but goddamn is there a lot of nice art for it on the net. |
| #140Mad_JackSep 30, 2014 18:19:05 |
The logo was actually the easiest since it was surrounded by dark colors with few details and simple lines.
It's just sad that all of the male illustrations for that game are so epically badass, and all the females are just epic cheesecake. Still, I've recently been mining the artwork for a lot of decent weapons and heads... Well, okay, the truly sad part is that all of this great artwork is for a freakin phone game knockoff of Pokemon...

| #155Sjappo71Oct 08, 2014 8:09:05 | So, about Dwarves. I have a concept / background that I would like to have a portrait of.
The dwarf found himself fighting back to back with a Devil during a war against Demons. Both survive but the dwarf is badly wounded. The Devil patches him up the best he can, with stuff lying around.
I see him as a male dwarf barbarian. Remember those Warhammer pictures of Giant Slayer and Devil Slayer dwarves? Like that. He fights with axes or hammers. But the most noticable thing is the fact that he has a large bolted on metal plate where the top of his skull used to be. He also has an Orc hand instead of his own, has some fingers from an other race. Not to much patchwork to turn him into Frankenstein's monster but enough te make him stand out.
Anyone care to take a shot at this? Thanx! |

Great thread and an awesome idea (never knew this has been around so long). Can anyone help me with my character?
Half-elf, male paladin (oath of vengeance) Late 20s Shoulder length dark hair (since I imagine his hair being over his ears, I think technically he could also look like a human) Facial hair: either stubble or cleanly shaven Dark eyes Stern look (if possible) Tall, with a muscular build, broad shoulders Wears a splint armor and a greatsword (named Alastor, name stolen from DMC1) I envision him without a cloak or hood and he doesn't look like the 'normal' fancy paladin, more low-key and battleworn
If anyone can help me, many thanks in advance!

| #164Darlos9DOct 09, 2014 7:33:09 | Just came up with this for Adventurer's League:
Male Human Cleric of War (Tempus) Forgotten Realms setting, Outlander background, from Shaar (its like North American Great Plains meets African Savanna) 5'10", tan skin, black hair, brown eyes, 200 lbs. No beard (though he might let it get stubbly) and short unstyled hair. Biggest physical stats are Str, followed by Con. Currently wears chain mail, uses a shield and warhammer.
Personality wise he's an intense and LOUD man who seeks out the glory of battle. Not just for himself, but for others he deems promising, who he screams at (and casts buffs on) for "encouragement." Basically he's a magical Gunnery Sergent Hartman.
Despite his background, he doesn't have a particular love of tribal nomadic life. His style is simple and efficient, and he just uses what he can get his hands on, which means he mostly wears clothing and equipment from wherever he's largely residing. Still, he has some accessories that harken back to his childhood, such as a necklace of the teeth of some large predator. Also, his shield sports a amateurishly painted symbol of Tempus, and he also has a crudely carved wooden symbol of tempus hanging from his belt. |

And this is a Purple Dragon knight; http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101209153643/forgottenrealms/images/3/37/PurpleDragonKnight.jpg

Would be awesome if you can include this symbol on the waist kerchief: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100905123615/sfery/images/f/fb/Cormyr.jpg

I'd love someone to take this picture (yeah, it's Touhou, sue me):
Then replace the person in it with the one in the picture below:
If someone would be able to make the two art styles look a bit more like each other, that'd be even better. Alternatively, taking the giant centipede from the above picture and putting it in the lower picture would be perfectly fine too. If anyone has another picture of a druid with some giant vermin in the background, I won't mind if he posted that. |

| #184LordOfTheChanceNov 24, 2014 12:20:04 | Looking over some of the work done in this thread, I don't think this will be a big challenge for someone on here.
If someone could make some mods to this picture that would be great! I'm going for a human wizard charlatan (illusionist). He's a gambler and frequent taverneer.
1) Remove the sword. 2) Make a pointing finger with the hand that was holding the sword (as if he was casting a spell). A wand could work as well. 3) Optional: Add a small spell book or an extra pouch or two. I would like him to look like a little more wizard-like, but in a manner more subtle than robes, stars and pointy hats.
Thank you very much to the creative spirit that can tackle the changes! |

I'm looking for something either modified on this below picture or something more Victorian/Steampunk. This is for Forgotten realms 5e game The character: Nehemiah Hawksley Human male Wizard 1 Charlatan I picture a Cross between Willy Wonka/Victorian wizard/Steampunk Wizard (Victorian isn't fantasy enough, and steampunk is just too much metal/gears/pistols) I like this picture (but it is a drow and too much white), perhaps add a cane, add some color to the coat/vest, change skin and hair color?
He Wears the long victorian coat (purple or RED or any bright color, and paisley vest, Gold victorian tie, carries a cane, Gloves and wears a top hat. Also has shoe Spats to protect the lower pants/shoes. A bit of an Card player and swindler type in personality. Always has a quick sharp retort when he feels someone is asking stupid questions. Blond hair, white male. IS this enough to off of?

The character is male, very tall (6'4" or so), lanky but muscular, black and tends not to wear upper body clothing. Would be perfect if he was also wielding a glaive but that's probably asking too much. He can look barbaric so either human or half-orc would suffice.
Closest I've found is Risar from Mortal Online but he's too bulky and his face is too animalistic. |

Tark is a Half-Orc Barbarian with the Criminal background. Essentially, he's a street thug from a major city who due to a series of events, has become an adventurer.
He doesn't wear armor, preferring to wear loose, comfortable clothes. He is frequently found wearing a battered old hat and coat (think 'Columbo' but more medievel/fantasy.) He has short dark hair, a dark complexion and olive/brown skin. He's got a big frame, but carries himself in a slouching, relaxed manner. He always has a hand-axe at his hip, and uses a Glaive for his main weapon. |

| #231RubenRybnikkJan 28, 2015 22:14:08 | Hello! I have kind of a complicated request. I am playing a Tempest Cleric of Talos and cannot find a picture I like for him. He is tall (around 6'2") with dark brown hair and green eyes. Average complexion. Not very muscular. He is wearing plate armor, carries a shield with the symbol of Talos (3 lightning bolts originating from a single point), and a black quarterstaff and cloak both shot through with teardrops and jagged lines of gold and silver. The cloak is usually drapped so that it covers most of his armor. I be so grateful if anyone can find anything close to that. Thank you! |

I would like to get this this picture recolored if possible.
1) I am interessted at the female character (but the archer is okay as my group has a archer) 2) She has red-blond hair - so a little more red would be nice. 3) Her skin is brass colored.
I like her red dress - but maybe the red of her hair and brass of her skin don't look good with the dress.
Thanks in advance! limsup |

| #240luthoriteFeb 03, 2015 20:40:35 | Hello guys. I just make this character but I am having trouble finding a picture that resemble him the most.
He is a 32 years old human warlock. He normally wear a decorated chainshirt, with fine noble clothes, no cloak or anything sinister like that. He use a dagger as well as a staff for walking and casting spell. He had a long calvary sabre on his back, with silver, gem encrusted handle.
He doesn't give off the creepy, evil presence like most warlock, but is more along the line of mapnipulative friendliness and fake cheerful attitude.
I would appreciate it if anyone can help me, thank |
| #241ThePaleKingFeb 03, 2015 22:57:58 | So if anyone could help me out finding and/or modifying a picture here that would be awesome:
Character is mechanically a half-elf (actually less elven blood than that, but it runs strong in the royal family of his nation) who is touched by a celestial blessing, he is a king and a paladin. He is known for his 'mane of honey and eyes of amber'. He wields/dual wields axes and wears heavy armor, though he dresses finely otherwise. He is still young for one of elven blood and is very dependable and the type to 'lead from the front'. Outwardly he is very care free and devil may care.
Thank you! |
| #242ZHDarkstarFeb 04, 2015 0:22:09 | Aylagur Buschbudd is an alcoholic Iluskan Nature Cleric/Ranger of Silvanus. In terms of physical appearance, his head is bald and his beard is long and red. While lacking in strength, he's surprisingly nimble for a drunk. For the WWE fans out there, imagine Erik Rowan's head on Daniel Bryan's body.
As one-part nature advocate/two-parts cheapskate, all of his gear is made of repurposed materials. His shield was the end of a barrel of elven wine used in druidic rituals. The quarterstaff that he wields is a mash paddle thst he obtained from the FR-equivalent of a Franciscan monastery. His scale mail also serves as a trophy case, each scale being the bottom of a tankard taken from those bested by Aylagur's prowess in the imbibing arts.

| #248HermanTheWizeFeb 06, 2015 8:50:02 | Azgar Lugrok is a Half-Orc Barbarian with the size and strength that any race would behold as the penicale of mortal power. He is 6'8 and 326 pounds. He has long black hair and a goatee ta boot(Just the chin part, not connecting mustache). He wears his breastplate proudly, for it was formerly used by a champion of tales of old. He is a Totem Warrior in which he has gained his strength through the dueling of a great bear and now wears its' pelt, the head sits on top of his own, as a homage to the power of all bears. After his battle with the bear, he noticed changes in his appearance, thicker skin, large tusks and increased muscle size. His battle scars are many and are worn with pride. But nothing is as valuable to Azgar as his greatsword of his past father. As typical of many orc weapons, it does not shine with polish, for a weapon does rely on how it looks to kill, but the strength of it’s blade. This a greatsword, that unlike your average everyday greatsword, has jagged edges. This may be from hitting the sword on armor through many battles, or possibly on purpose to frighten his enemies. |

| #259HermanTheWizeFeb 13, 2015 7:53:35 | Can you take the first picture and make the cloak brown(not white), if you can make it look more like a bear awesome, but if you can't don't stress about it. Also it would be awesome if you could put a jagged greatsword in his hand instead of an axe, I know this part is hard so don't worry yourself if it takes to long. Then take the bear behind the dwarf in the second picture and put it behind the half-orc in the first one.
Edit: If you think of anything cool you wanna try, a simple example would be putting him in a forest after(Or maybe you think the white background is the best), go for it. And in advance, thank you for doing this for all of us, I'm very grateful. Some pretty cool work done on this thread.
Edit(2/13/2015): If you could give the half-orc a black gotee(without the mustache part) that would be awesome too.

The PC in need of a pic is for a Pathfinder game and he is a Goblin Gunslinger who uses a single double-barreled flintlock/wheellock pistol. I've only found one picture of said race/class combo but it didnt really work for me. I would love to have a PF Goblin decked out in gear similar to the iconic gunslinger (only male instead of female) . I know this requests is a little out there but any help is greatly appreciated. |

Here's a link to some Malifaux gremlin gunslingers, although they're a bit more cowboy/hillbilly... You might be best served by finding a gunslinger pic you like and pasting a goblin head on it, although it'd be tough to find both a gunslinger and a goblin in the same art style...

| #273dingo06Feb 20, 2015 6:37:46 | Hi everyone, I've definitely been having trouble finding a good idea of what my character looks like, even after months of playing him.
Rizdyn is a half-drow eldritch knight. With silver skin, and short-medium length hair and a fairly stocky, muscled frame, he wears platemail armor and wields a longsword and shield. The sword is Talon, the +1 longsword from the Starter Set. He looks to be about in his mid-twenties, with cold blue eyes, and a fairly friendly attitude. He relishes battle and proving his worth, something that he does try to hide from his closest friends who may see him as reckless and near-suicidal. He is a legacy character, as most of my PCs I've played over the last 11 years have been in his same lineage, whether it was a half-elf fighter/mage in 2nd edition or a hybrid swordmage/ranger in 4th edition.
Here is a picture of Rizdyn's father, a full drow I previously played. Maybe this could be manipulated to have shorter hair, slightly silvered skin, etc. I'm not sure. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

I wonder if you might rework an image for me that has seen some work on these 'boards but could still use a bit of tweaking. I would love for the priestess in the first image to be recolored to drow (so that her skin is blue-black, her eyes lavender or fiery red (whichever you think looks best) and her hair silver-white), with scale armor under her robes instead of the cloth bikini.
Finally, I would love the summoned snakebird creature from the second image to be set around and behind her in the same general composition as it is around the gnome in the second image.

| #308SterlingRatFeb 27, 2015 7:38:17 | Okay - this one is a bit more complicated and I don't have a base image to work with. If fact, feel free to not spend lots of time on this because I'm not sure the DM will approve - image or no image.
The character is a short, bald, wheezy, near-sighted and pudgy human alchemist who always wanted to be a dashing, heroic and romantic adventurer but just wasn't physically cut out for it. But he was pretty smart and pretty daring... He started researching alchemical formulas and mystical designs until he stumbled on an ancient recipe for a tattoo ink that would supposedly give him fantastic abilities. His first adventure was to get the main ingredient for the ink; Demon blood.
The tattoos don't physically transform him except in his own head. So basically he has the physical abilities of a monk and he thinks he looks like Edge (or some other cool WWE wrestler) but he looks more like Woody Allen with poorly drawn tattoos. He looks like someone doing really bad ninja cosplay (even though he actually does have some power) |

Here's a concept for anyone who's interested in trying out art of a Dragonborn character.(Sorry about the giant opening line text. I have no idea how to undo it.) Pandjed Male Dragonborn Sorcerer (6+) / Bard (2) / Rogue (1) Age: 24, Height: 6' 3", Weight 229 lb. Scales: Coppery green with vivid blue edges Pandjed is a Lawful Good Worshipper of Bahamut and a member of the Zhentarim in the Rise of Tiamat story. He was originally a jeweler, trained in the family busines by his father and later apprenticed to a dwarf to expand his skills, whom joined a band of adventurers to recover his goods after the Cult of Tiamat stole his wares, burned his wagon, and killed his donkey. The rigors (and near-death experiences) of adventuring allowed him to unlock his latent Draconic bloodline, a proud ancestral legacy which his family traces back to the ancient blue dragon Thorkes. Via his bloodline, Pandjed has access to a host of lightning-themed spells. He is also connected to memories of his ancestors, granting him additional skill proficiencies and spells.
I've always imagined Pandjed as looking similar to the planeswalker Sarkhan (I have no idea how to attach pictures and have them come through, but I'm referring to the art of Sarkhan the Mad from Rise of the Eldrazi) with a few small differences: - Pandjed wields a Staff of Fire instead of a spear - He wears a long coat of quality befitting a middle-class merchant - The trail of blood would be replaced by lightning and/or plasma
If anyone knows where an image like that could be found, or if anyone is interested in trying their hand at to that, it'd be a huge help. Thank you. |

| #340MalovaanMar 06, 2015 2:23:18 | I've been struggling to find any pictures that match what I invisage my character to look like, which also means I haven't found a base image I'd like to work from. I wouldn't be suprised if there was an image out there matching my description without much/any modification needed, I'm just bad at finding it, hopefully though someone might be able to help me find what I'm looking for!
At the most basic level, I'm looking for a diminutive male human wizard wearing travelling clothes covered by a large dark hooded cloak, carrying a staff. Should be easy, no? :D
More specifically: - He's quite short and probably walks a little hunched over, using the staff as a walking stick, for support. - The cloak has loads of pockets full of useful components for spells (though conceivably could all be inside-pockets and not seen in the image) - He looks unwell. If he face can be seen, its pale, gaunt, eyes are sunken, etc. Hair is thin and wispy grey/white. He's not old and wrinkled, but theres something wrong with him and he doesn't exactly look in the prime of life.
Would be excellent if anyone could help find at least a good starting point for this character! |

Here's my character: Name: Zevari Saryola Tiefling GOO Warlock (pact of tome), patron is Dendar. Age: 24 and Height: 5' 4'' Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Personality: Quiet, thoughtful, reflective, bookworm. Used to be a librarian. Appearance: Red skin, White hair, pale white eyes, goat horns and a Tiefling tail. She's usually wearing a dark grey/black cloak and a leather/light armor which is dyed red/black/white. Her tome is wrapped in red leather, emitting a subtle dark aura.
I really like the style of this artwork as a base, maybe someone is able to adjust it more to the description (skin/armor/eye color, visible tail). Not sure how, but maybe it's possible to add her tome somwhere to make sense.
I'm also open to completely different suggestions, though

http://samlib.ru/img/k/kuzxmin_mark_gennadxewich/aressija3/tumblr_m34aismsgz1qgjpfvo1_500.jpg
Just some recoloring needs to be done. She should have black hair. Leather should be darker and her cape should be a darker brown as well, maybe almost but not quite black. Replace the reddish sash and color on the shoulders (maybe that's the outside of her cloak?) with dark green. After all that is done I'm not sure if the sleeves would look too light, so maybe make that brown as well.
The idea is that she should be able to hide in the city or nature. |

| #364Dark_KainMar 13, 2015 2:40:19 | I would like some help looking an image for my character: an human valorous bard of above-average build knighted under a church order. He is halfway on his 30s but still looks pretty young: has brown hairs, neat, pencil moustaches and no beard.
Among his possessions the most distinguished feature is his armor (metallic, should cover half the body) that usually looks as a shovy golden armor (his only magical item, it is actually an armor of variable resistance that switch color depending on the active resistance, it is jut that gold is associated with fire resistance and he usually keeps that "on" despite he himself finds it terribly tacky). Fights usually with a single silvered sabre + shield, has actually a second sabre on his person (his father's memento). Should also carry on fixed with leather straps on his belt or his sash: a pan flute, a book and his magical components bag.
Has a sort of squire: a funny goblin (in tipical goblin attire)
Yeah I know that he is a bit quirky. |

| #387akr71Mar 23, 2015 18:03:33 | Wow, some pretty amazing work here.
I can't seem to find something that fits how I envision my character - hoping someone with artistic talent will help me out. Milo Tealeaf is a male stout halfling rogue in his mid to late 20's, average height and average build. He wears studded leather and preferred weapons are a rapier and hand crossbow in his off-hand. The hand crossbow has a belt strap attached to the butt-end so that when the single shot is fired, he can drop it and it will just hang from his belt. He also carries a dagger on his belt.
This comes close, but isn't very halfling like & I don't like the face mask or the hood up. Probably a friendlier looking face too...

I have a Paladin who uses a warhammer and i like this illistration of a warrior priest from warhammer online if you guys could use this design but incorperate a bushy black beard and a sheild with law scales on it that would be fantastic as well as maybe changing the hammer to a bit smaller and more "squarer" i guess thank you so much oh and a simple half helm would look sweet

I give up. I really did not want to bother you fine folks with this one, since I will probably never actually get to play the character. However, I can't find a picture to put with this guy and I wanted to put him up in the Pregen database... The full character stats and background are here and I would like a picture of a dwarf with a cloak and little/no hair. If anyone has time, great. If not, no worries. I'm actually still playing the human Paladin that you guys put the gauntlet on the shield for me, and after this guy is done I'll be playing the monk, then I'll be playing a wizard cleric... then, after all those characters are played, I might get around to this one. So... 2017 maybe. |

Tweaks: - change/shorten the left-hand sword into a single-bladed silver dagger. - give the other sword a slightly ice-blue hue (it's a frostbrand scimitar). - and if possible, maybe change the greens of his clothing to variations of white to pale ashen gray? - but if this strips away too much color or it loses detail, nevermind.

He's a half-elf paladin who wears chain mail, carries a shield and a battle-axe, and has a very high base charisma, if that matters (18).
He is six feet tall, 25 years old, is pretty muscly among half-elves, and has a small beard. He has short brown hair and grew up training to be a blacksmith before becoming a paladin.
I don't have a decent base image, since male half-elves aren't easy for me to find... |

So Bonus. My ranger has an additional animal companion. A small flying lizard that looks like a tiny wyvern without the barbed tail. Its about the size of a hawk. Could you have one flying close to him? Its blackish green and the least monsterous (but still cool looking) art I have found is this.
Also for future reference, how do I tag with Spoiler as to not bog down page loads for folks?
Thanks!!!!
|
| #427AleighcoxApr 21, 2015 13:23:23 | Spoilers are easy to make:
Unnamed spoiler -> [.spoiler] image URL
all you have to do is remove the period in the first spoiler tag.
Named spoiler -> [.spoiler=somecoolname] image whatever
Simply copy and paste the above tags and remove the period and change the name and paste your image URL inside the spoiler and BAM! good.

Anyone have a picture that comes close or even something it could be used as a foundation for editing? |
| #452Sir-Miles-deAwesomeApr 29, 2015 6:06:35 |
I like that last one a lot! Could we give him this face but keep the beard. Blue eyes, and darken the hair color to a color sloser to this guys? Can the staff be extended so that both ends are out of frame? Can you give him dragonscale armor but keep the cloak? Thanks! You are amazing
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dWQZV1sCL_A/TWy7gXuV7KI/AAAAAAAAAH8/g39SNQVCqYo/s1600/Barronsf.jpg
EDIT: I just read this and realized it is a little confusing. I like the last picture you gave me. I would like the face and hair color from the picture in the above link but leaving the beard from the first picture or adding a different one if that is to difficult. The wooden rod he is holding in the picture you sent, can that be stretched out of frame so it looks like a staff instead? Any armor you can give him instead of the fur would be great, but I like the cloak. If the armor change is too hard it doesn't have to happen.
Let me know what can and can't be done. Thanks |

I was wondering if someone could replace the hair on his mask with a hood, and also color the mask so that it doesn't look metallic? Maybe like it's made of chitin, wood, or stone, as it's going to be a Dark Sun campaign. |
| #459Dark_KainMay 05, 2015 17:03:10 | I finally found an image that could be a good base for my character. However I'd like to request a bit of edit magic.
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/f7/db/92/f7db9230f339c22cea1c42b213a3ef6b.jpg
- The armor color should change entirely to gold - The sword should change to a silvered sabre (and the sheat should be fixed to accomodate this, if possible) - A shield should be latched on the left harm (a wolf/wolf head coat of arms would be cool) - A pouch and a small book should be latched on the leather strap above the left hand
At last an optional request: if possible a goblin armed with a bow and/or scimitars should be somewhere in the background, better if near/while caring for a black mane horse |
| #460Hess72083May 10, 2015 20:32:11 | I will be starting the elemental evil campaign soon and had a barbarian character concept but am horrible at digital art. I found this D3 barbarian and love the look except the barbarian character I am introducing is supposed to be young and ruggedly attractive with dark black hair and no beard. A beardless, short-haired, heavily armoured, male dwarf with a greatsword.
You will win the internet if you can find anything even close to it.
EDIT: OMG! I WON AN INTERNET!

Probably best to go with what HumanFolley posted - sadly, there's just not that much good Borg-related photographic source material out there. Most of the Borg photographs floating around online are just low-quality screencaps from the movies or shows, and tend to be limited to a very small handful of angles (most of which aren't "action" shots - even when they're from fight scenes - because the Borg just don't turn their heads much)... With an object that covers multiple sides of a subject's anatomy, especially if the source material and the modded image are at different angles, you often end up needing to cut the object up into multiple pieces and then try to warp each one into the right shape... and then try to blend the edges so it doesn't look like five seperate pieces. Which can be pretty tricky and often ends up as you using the item as a template for a free-handed sketch that coveres all or most of it. Illustrations are a lot more forgiving of bits where you had to fudge a little in order to make it work.

Any image holding a sword, staff, spear or other polearm can most likely have a halberd pasted into it, particularly ones that already have wooden shafts on them.
Also, nice conversion on the mini - where'd you get the halberd from? It looks vaguely familiar.

| #498Sir-Miles-deAwesomeJun 06, 2015 18:54:04 | I have two requests, the first one is much more difficult than the second one. First request is that one of my players (a tiefling warlock) has convinced the rest of the party to go back to the city he grew up in to visit his mother. So could someone please take this head https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/6c/fd/25/6cfd259d960ac52598170772a7848e75.jpg and tiefling it with horns and dark red skin? Also remove some of the wrinkles if possible but leave the hair white.
second request, can someone take this head, hat and all, https://i.warosu.org/data/tg/img/0317/22/1398519559399.jpg and put it on this body, http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/168/e/d/edef83fc7bc528857fe7fb26881e6942-d53sttb.jpg and then turn the top half of the microphone and stand ad turn it into a wand in his outstretched hand, then remove the rest of it from the picture Thanks in advance! Sub-Boss, Gherldalie: pronounced Guh-air-ul-dah-lee
Gherldalie does not work for Dr. Tendrill, nor is she mind controlled by Dr. Tendrill. But, she shares a common goal with Dr. Tendrill, to conquer portions of the surface world. Where her goals differ, she wants to make the races of Man, Elf and Dwarf suffer for what they have done to her homeland of Blysemethia: pronounced Blies-me-thigh-ugh, a wilderness paradise, where Nymphs, Dryads, and Pixies could roam free with the forest creatures. Gherldalie herself is a Nymph, whose homeland was destroyed for industry and mining for the Dwarves, so they could supply the ores to the Elves, so they can forge the weapons and armor for the Humans, so that they may force the hoards of Goblins, Orcs and the like back underground. But the Goblins and Orcs never posed a threat to the homeland of Blysemethia, and often feared the Dryads, Nymphs and Sprites for their magic. Unlike the regular inhabitants of the forestland of Blysemethia, Gherldalie is it's sworn protector, but there is only so much she could do on her own, especially after the slaughter of her subjects and those driven from her homeland. But now that the mines are dry, and the activity as scarce, she has come back to take it's claim. She wears armor made of plant matter, dual wields a Scimitar and a Whip with thorns on it.
Main Boss, Dr. Tendrill the Mindflayer
Dr. Tendrill has always felt he does not belong of this world. The other Ithilid's have mocked and ridiculed Dr. Tendrill's outlook on life. He was an outcast, who was shunned from his society for his hobbies. Knowing that nobody on the surface shall accept him, he has decided to amass an army to conquer the surface land, so that he may become ruler and have a place to call his own. King Tendrill they shall call him! No longer will he be a lowly doctor, no. He will be king! This caused Dr. Tendrill to make alliances unusual to his people, as well as controlling many minds to get the waves of change in motion. He works with such odd creatures as Flumphs, the Beholder kin known as Spectators, and even Myconids, just to name a few. Flumphs will make great surface scouts, as well as cause chaos and confuse those up there. Myconids can server as soldiers, marching in to conquer weakened villages, as well as basic guards leading up to his lair. While the Spectators will work as his personal guard, watching over Dr. Tendrill to make sure no harm comes his way, and that his plans may come to fruition, once and for all! He wears armor made of Umberhulk plating, he has a longsword called Hellblazen in one hand, and probably magic in the other. |
| #504DerffrombelgiumJun 10, 2015 7:23:58 | Hello dear artists,
I'm not very proficient in drawing or computer. Can you help me ? I want to change this droid to match my new character from role-playing game.
I would like to change his color. Should repaint the 7 colors of the rainbow. RED ORANGE YELLOW GREEN BLUE INDIGO VIOLET No matter in what sense or what part but the 7 colors should be present. I would like to add also a series of small stickers or small colorful symbols (peace and love, smileys, flower, heart) on his head or/and torso.
Like this : Thank you very much in advance |
| #505Levistej13Jun 10, 2015 12:43:36 | Long time lurker, first time poster here. I love your work and since I've decided to play a character based on a few images I like, I've decided to come and ask for help.
I'll be playing a dwarf barbarian that goes by the name of Otto Magnus Eisenfist in a steampunk setting and I really like how the above picture reflects my idea but I've got a few details I'd like to change and dont know how - that's where, hopefuly, you come in. Could someone make the metal plating on his arms, legs and shoulders a more seampunkish tone of copper or something similar? Also, since I'll be taking polearm master, could you make the axe handle far longer and make the blade bigger to match or even slightly exceed the required proportions of a Halberd? Thank's alot in advance.
P.S. Sorry for my English, haven't used it in quite a while and am getting a bit rusty because of it, I hope that everything is clear from my descriptions. P.P.S. I didn't really wanna ask this but cold you replace the axe with this one
while also making the handle look like metal and not wood? It sound like a tough job so don't worry about it, I'd be delighted with just the minor alterations I mentioned before. |

| #576Be3Al2Aug 01, 2015 15:30:08 | I'm thinking of playing a bearded half-elf with blue hair, blue eyes and alabaster/white skin (Forgotten Realms Moon Elf colouring, mostly human features, pointy ears).
The style of beard and hair I want are close to this or this found previosly in this thread. If someone finds a better image to start with it would be great with shorter hair (or just using the first one of those two).
I don't know the style or class of the character I'll end up using it for, so removing everything except the head and maybe collar would be great. |
| #577AtomicDekeAug 01, 2015 18:49:09 | Hey, I'd like to request some character art.
I'm playing a wood elf monk/druid named Vander that used to be a prolific assassin. As an assassin, he was a bloodthirsty killer, and the more macabre the kill, the better. After an experience that drove him away from his guild, he hid among a community of druids, one of whom was a former monk. Vander became a monk to learn discipline, and he learned the basics of druidry to repress his bloodlust and gain a reverence for life. He still gets urges to revert to his old ways, though, and if he's caught off-guard he'll react brutally.
Now, in the game I'm playing, I just recently multi-classed Vander into a druid to match his backstory. For a while, I've been using some Pathfinder art to represent him, but I feel like I need to update that imagery to reflect his new character. Vander's been doing some brutal stuff of late, and he's finally hit a stretch where he's coming to terms with what he's done recently, so the next chance he gets, he wants a change of wardrobe to reflect his commitment to change and get back to his new roots (heh, druid pun).
I've come across a couple images that I kind of like but that don't really suit Vander. I like this one that looks like it has more natural fibers and a woodland feel, but not so much the mask (one might come later, but that's neither here or there) or the knives. I really enjoy the cowl in this image that can hide the face, and I kind of like the hip cape, but the armor doesn't do anything for me.
So, here's my request: a blend of the latter two images that combines the things I like about each and looks like it would allow the freedom of movement for monk gymnastics, and based on the Pathfinder image that I've been using (without facial hair, on account of the elf thing). I would deeply and mightily appreciate it. |

I'm after a human male arctic Druid
Inuit look with a wicker back-basket carried Sherpa style.
60-70 years old. Black hair with white in it and an ancient wisdom face
Wood shield made with driftwood from a smashed ship
Sealskin leather, studded with whalebone rivets.
One hand free for primal magic.
Old, alone and weathering the biting snowsquall
Any of the above would be great
Thanks in advance.

| #597Cyber-DaveAug 11, 2015 23:59:54 | Puck O'Ballads (assumed name)...
Race: Half-Elf Class: Lore Bard/Feypact Warlock multiclass (with more emphasis on the warlock aspect). Age: Unknown, but looks like a human in their mid 20s to mid 30s. Has that sort of "ageless" quality that people who age well have. Sex: Male Armor: Light (swashbuckling style leathers or studded leathers, but tends to wear greatcoat over that, with knee high or thigh high turned down boots, and he sometimes wears a wide-brimmed hat). Weapons: Dagger and rapier, though he almost never uses them. Primarily uses magic. Specifically, he likes to cast Eldritch Blasts that take the form of crows/ravens which suicide dive into their targets. He also tends to cast a lot of illusions, enchantments, and charms. Music Instruments: violin, flute, and pan flute. Height: Tall. Weight: Light. General build: tall and thin--think Sandman (from Neil Gaiman's comics). Skin: Caucasian. Hair: Black and long. Facial hair: a well groomed beard. Eyes: Grey or blue. Personal traits: Deceptive, manipulative, often seems aloof and flighty. He is a trickster figure. |

| #599CelaenoAug 12, 2015 16:44:03 | Hi everyone!
This may seem a bit overspecialized but I figured it never hurts to ask, and see what other people may have squirreled away.
I have already located images of my character that fit with what I imagine of her, but the real challenge I am finding is her mount.
Homebrew campaign Race: Shadow Elf - Elven race that lives in the Shadowfel with dark hair, pale gray skin and glowing green eyes, tall and muscular Class: Paladin - is part of an order of undead hunters Age: Mid-twenties Sex: Female Armor: Heavy plate or scale, usually of a darker metal mined in the shadowfel that is etched with elven/tribal tattoo designs on both arms and right shoulder. Weapons: Greatsword, something akin to a scottish claymore
Specialized Mount: Race: Shadow Hart - A very large omnivorous creature that lives in the Shadowfel, it's general appearance is that of a very large elk/stag, with the strength equal to that of a knight's war horse. They appear black with a large rack, have two sets of eyes on it's head and have markings on it's body and horns. The eyes and markings glow with a green, blue or sometimes red color. They have longer tails like a lion, cloven hooves that are almost clawlike, and fangs to bite with. When they are out of the Shadowfel for an extended time, the black fades and actual colors appear in the coat, usually red or golden. This particualr Hart mount is a darker red color with blue glowing marks as it has been out of the Shadowfel for some time.
If anyone has come across anything to fit the Hart's description I would be thrilled

| #602rgoodbbAug 12, 2015 23:58:52 | Hi again. Is it too soon to ask for another?
The last one was so spot on that I’m wondering (cheekily) if you could do it for me one more time.
This time I’m after an older male Halfling age 50-60 (in human looks) river-junk captain (smuggler) with; · A dark green headscarf (skin-tight) covering a bald head · Semi-bushy white sideburns flanking a weathered face · Sat on boat/edge/dock (Head and shoulders portrait is fine if no other available) · One arm holding a long smoking pipe to his mouth or even lighting it · Day or night doesn’t mater · Red/orange Chinese style Junk-boat sail in the background would also be very, very cool. · Shifty look, or at very least not smiling
Even though Halfling, I would prefer a non-enlarged head style art.
These are the type of sails I am on about
Lots of things here so any of the above would be really great, thanks. Ps. Please prioritise newbees.

| #611AtomicDekeAug 15, 2015 0:23:17 | I just had a character die (not the one I requested art for, thankfully :P ), so I'm rerolling as a Goliath Barbarian. I'm fine with using this base image, but I'd like to request a few alterations to it.
He'll be using a greataxe, so I'd like to replace the one in that image with this one, or at least with that axe head. Given that it's giant-sized for two-handed use, I think it would make sense for the handle to extend behind him to the other side. Also, I'm envisioning him as bare-chested, wearing nothing from the waist up save for a long leather duster like this one (that's just the style I'd like; if it could be similar to the remaining furs and hides being worn, that would be amazing).
Thanks very much in advance! |

| #614TheWoodKnightAug 17, 2015 5:37:00 | Hello,
I'd like to request some character art. Cyber-Dave recommended this page to me. Our characters are brothers (figuratively) in the same campaign. He was praising the work of one Humanfolly to no end. I was floored by the work done for his character and have to come to beg for your assistance. Here's hoping...
Name: Scrimshaw (self-styled) Race: Aasimar Class: Blackguard (homebrew), Oath of Desolation sworn to Loviatar Age: 27 Gender: Male Armor: Heavy (Self-made custom splinted mail crafted, with the assistance of his (figurative) brother tinker, from metal-reinforced strips of hand-carved bone, riveted to leather, harnessed to typical gambeson.) Weapons: Flail (three-headed) and Shield. Dark Magic channeled through Unholy Symbol of his goddess, a fully functional nine-tailed barbed scourge. Height: 6'7" Weight: 240 lbs. Build: Well proportioned and chiseled Skin: Rose Gold (Some angels in the MM are described as having metallic complexions. Deva: bright silver, Planetar: burnished copper, etc.) Hair: Sunlight Yellow (Platinum Blond), cut short and unruly Eyes: Normal sclera (white parts) and pupils (black center parts), blazing yellow irises (ring eye-color parts) Personality Traits: High-functioning sociopath. Understands the difference between right and wrong, but feels no empathy. Capable of genuine attachments and relationships. Tries to act "good" to make up for a tragic childhood, but is otherwise completely self-serving--think Dexter, the Bay Harbor Butcher.
I've got a bunch of source images that I'd like to have spliced together, slightly edited and generally polished up. I hope the changes aren't an unmanagable amount of work. Big fan of your work and would completely understand if you decide I'm asking for too much. Hope the concept piques your creative interest.
Base Image: Sorry for how pixelated it is, but the armor is nearly perfect, and the pose doesn't need to change at all. I'd like to have the final version with the below changes blown up and sharpened to a nice, printable quality.
Weapons: Remove the sword from the base image. Insert the flail from the next image, and add a third head (copy/paste, resize). The flail should be held in his right hand (the hand to our left side of the image, lowered, by his leading leg) with the three heads resting on the ground plane, like he's dragging them along behind him. The end of the flail's haft should pointed forward and down, following the angle of his right hand as it is pictured in the base image. Instead of the sword, he should be clutching in his left hand his unholy symbol, a full-sized nine-tailed barbed scourge as pictured in the second image below, the tails tossed over his left shoulder. If possible, wisps of dark red energy should be emanating from the scourge.
Shield: Add the shield from the image below such that the concave, inner side with armstraps etc. is facing us and the convex face with symbol is facing away (ie not visible to us), the point is grounded and it's scaled up to a size so that his left elbow, of the arm previously holding the sword, is resting on the upper edge of the shield.
Armor: Add splinted armor sections to the shins/calves, thighs, forearms and upperarms like those shown in the images below. Keep the fluted/segmented knee and elbow cops, the guantlets with gloves and vambraces, the segmented pauldrons (shoulders) and sabatons (boots), from the base image as they are, but add the splinted sections underneath them wherever they would be visible peaking from behind the plate sections being kept. (The plate sections kept should overlap the splinted sections being added.) The color of the armor (both original sections and new additions) should all be changed to glossy ivory like the third image below, with (if possible) reddish metal (aka orium) fasteners/engraving instead of the brass pictured. The color of whatever underpadding (gambeson) remains visible should be changed to red. The gold winged emblem on field of red over the base image's left chest should be changed to a simplified stencil of the symbol of Loviatar, the nine-tailed barbed scourge, pictured below, done in orium (reddish metallic) on a field of ivory, like the armor, but matte instead of glossy.
Face: The helmed head from the base image should be replaced with the head of the image below. The hair and eyebrow color should be changed to the same hair color as the girl from the shield source image. If possible, the skin tone should be changed to rose gold, as shown in the second image below. I'm hoping for a stark contrast between the hair/eyebrows and skin. The irises of the eyes should be be changed to a blazing yellow.
Regards, -TWK |

Could I please implore thee to help me make my new character honour the memory of my old one by having this picture modified?
https://i.imgur.com/dsLVgRC.jpg
He's supposed to be a rock gnome so the skin colour is slightly off. Needs to be either a bit darker brown or greyish. The sword is kinda awkward since he's a wizard but not a deal-breaker if it's too hard to get rid of. The hair sticking out from underneath the hat is also problematic since all rock gnome males are bald
Thanks heaps if you can do this for me. My tears of anguish will not be wasted if I can come back with my gnome wizard, stronger, faster, better, and more likely to run away from illithids. |

| #628Cyber-DaveAug 19, 2015 11:06:40 | If it isn't too much trouble, could I ask for a picture of Puck's (newly acquired) familiar? Its a homebrew fairy creature called a Pisky. Here is the description: Piskies stand barely a foot tall. They resemble twisted versions of diminutive elves, with wings like a moth, pitch black eyes devoid of whites or irises, and wide mouths filled with sharp, translucent, needling teeth. Curious as cats, and just as vicious, piskies like to spy on other creatures and will cause trouble when they can. Piskies array themselves like the paupers of the fey courts, dressing in rags of burlap and soot stained fabrics. They can shapechange into cats and ravens. In terms of its smile/mouth, I keep thinking something along the lines of the Cheshire Cat. I haven't been able to find a picture I quite like for them as of yet. Thank you very much in advance! |

| #636Cyber-DaveAug 20, 2015 9:27:09 | So good... Thank you!
EDIT: Though, there is one minor adjustment that would make me very happy (if it is something you can do). It looks like the wings are not placed on her back symmetrically. This is creating an odd visual effect where the wing on the right hand side of the picture looks bigger than the wing on the left hand side, or else looks like its coming out of her back from a different location. Or, perhaps they are bent in different ways? In any case, it is creating a slightly unintended/odd visual effect. Is there any way you could try and place the two wings in a slightly more symmetrical manner? If not, no worries! The picture still looks awesome. This is definitely what I had in my mind when I created the pisky. |

| #645Cyber-DaveAug 24, 2015 16:39:40 | Ok, so, I have a bit of an odd request, as it's for a Shadowrun campaign. (This isn't for the same game in which I am playing Puck O'Ballads.) I think this should be an easy modification, as i already have an image which is 99% perfect. If it isn't too much trouble, could someone (perhaps the illustrious humanfolly *crosses fingers, in hope*) please give Legolas Smith elf ears? Thank you SO much in advance!

| #646Cyber-DaveAug 24, 2015 23:12:30 | And, if it isn't too much trouble, for the same game in which Legolas Smith will be my backup character, if it is possible to create an image for my primary character, Achak, I would really appreciate it. | #653Cyber-DaveAug 26, 2015 19:03:13 | Something else I thought of today that might work: if it is possible to modestly scale down the handle of the existing knife, but leave the blade/sheath as is, that might make it look just right too! Like I said, it too looks almost perfect. I just think the handle looks a little too large compared to the sheath right now. It might also be an overly large handle which is helping to make the ak 47 clips look a little too small... but I can't tell for sure.
P.S. The orange on the bow ended up fitting with the color composition of the image, which I didn't originally expect, so please feel free to leave it! No point putting effort into changing something that already looks good. |

|
| #656Cyber-DaveAug 27, 2015 21:17:35 | Skaddoooosh. These look amazing! They are virtually perfect. I have a few minor tweaks that I would really appreciate (if its not too much trouble):
1) The clip on the shoulder still looks a little too small compared to the clip in the gun. Could you please scale it up a little more? 2) The black spaces in the gaps of the bow-arms are removed from its lower arm but not its upper arm. Could you please remove the black space from the upper arm so that the viewer can see through the gaps in the bow? 3) Would it be possible to replace the two handgun bullets in the belt webbing with a throwing dagger? If so, I would really appreciate it. 4) Would it be possible to remove the wires from the character's right arm? If so, I would appreciate it. 5) The characters left arm has a tiny bit of the device that used to exist there, but doesn't anymore, still strapped to it (I am talking about the black thing, with the black strap, and the two silver lines rising vertically along it, on the charaacter's arm, right next to the lower bow arm). Thankfully, that device kind of looks like a throwing knife sheath! Would be it possible to add a throwing knife or two onto that thing (under the black strap)? 6) The perfect spacing between the arrows in the quiver is throwing me off a little. Is it possible to add arrows between the carefully spaced locations to make them look a little more densely packed and a little less perfectly spaced? If so, I would really appreciate it! For visual reference, I am looking for an effect a little more like this:
EDIT: 7) I just noticed that in the version without the helmet, while you added in the back of the armor on the viewer's right hand side/characters left hand side (I am talking about the small space inside the suit that you can now see with the removal of the helmet), that space is missing on the viewers left hand side/character's right hand side. If its possible to add that feature to the missing side, I would be very happy. EDIT: 8) (Last request, I promise!) Would it be possible to add the hard plastic edge of the tanto sheath back into the image (it's the black ridge with the holes in it)? Something about its removal is throwing me off as well.
Otherwise, these images are perfect. I even love the way you created the three versions (though I would be pretty happy to see a version without the helmet but with the background, but I don't know if that is possible/doable)! Thank you!
P.S. Also, if its not too much trouble, as a visual aid, could you create a blank white image which has the tactical tomahawk, the urban tribe tomahawk, the ka-bar tanto, the throwing knife, and the AK (at the sizes you used in the actual image), pasted side by side? (No modifications need to be done to any of them. I am just looking for a sort of "weapons locker" / size comparison chart for my character's folder.) Thank you so much in advace humanfolly! You rock. If you ever need a character backstory written up for one of your characters, let me know. I can't do anything with images, but I write for a living, and I would be happy to repay the massive favor(s) you have done for me here. |

for my new character, i would like the following art adjusted. - Background removed, or at least the robots - the face (and hat) of the main character replaced with a "regular" pirate with a eye patch.
Alternatively, the gun can be added to a picture that already has the pirate mentioned, but i haven't been able to find a picture that would fit that description yet, if i do, i will post it here.
If anyone can help me, it would be most appreciated....

If someone could remove the blood flying through the air, and swap the axe he is holding for a sword? Here is a sample of a sword I had in mind.

I appreciate all the work you guys do! Thanks. |
| #693SnigTheWorgSep 05, 2015 8:52:25 | Another project if anyone thinks it is doable would be to change this half orc into a human. Just changing his skin tone and removing the brand from his forehead. i'm not sure how tough this would be but if possible it would be awesome! Here is the orc.
Not sure if this is helpful but might help with the skintone / complexion?

| #699SnigTheWorgSep 05, 2015 20:51:47 | Thanks for the great work humanfolly! I do have another request if you are up to the challenge? I don't think it's a difficult one. For the following picture, I was hoping to have the wings on the helmet removed completley.
And if it's not too much trouble, could you add a second varation with the wings removed, and a small cross added to the top front of the helmet (top center of forehead, rising above the ridge of the helmet) made from the same materiel as the rest of his armor.
I'm not sure if it would look better with or without the cross, but the wings definatly have to go.
Thanks again for donating your amazing skills.

I was active around here as an artist back in '11 and '12. Screen name was KrissXed back then.
Anyway, I've got some new found free time these days, and I'm here to help. I'll start picking up projects where I can. Haven't read through the thread.. but I'm assuming it's all pretty much the same, yeah?

Another of my players really liked the work done on my previous request, & asked if someone could change this gent's hair color to black (again, without losing the details). Any help is greatly appreciated! |

| #719Delazar78Sep 13, 2015 3:28:47 | Can you make this Warforged looks more like a Modron?
I'm referring mostly to the color pattern, and the face details (eyes and mouth, should look more "human")
Just imagine that Primus created the Warforged himself, and called them Wardrone...

| #720daspianSep 13, 2015 22:43:28 | Hey all was wondering if anyone could help me find a picture... the PC i was making is a Ghaele (Winter Eladrin), and going to be a Fey-Blade Pact Warlock, a pact with the Prince of Frost. i'm having trouble find pictures of Ghaele, male ones that is.
i found a picture of the Prince of Frost and i found a picture of a headshot of what i envisioned the PC would look like picture.
what i am trying to find is a picture resembling the latter, a white haired pale-skinned elf, blue eyes, but one that is wearing light armor, and wielding a slim sword entirely made of ice. doesn't have to be perfect, and the reason i am not using the former picture (The One of the Prince of Frost Himself) |

| #726rgoodbbSep 16, 2015 14:36:44 | Hi Good folks building an unkempt and smelly shield master barb/rogue
Could you possibly add a shield to his back hand and a rapier to his front?
so the shield looks something like this (about as good as I could do with Paint!)
With the thin sword in his free hand touching the floor diagonally to the right Or alternatively still sheathed on his left hip. Both need to look a little dangling, like he can't be bothered.
Plus does his back foot seem unusually long?
Thanks for anything you can do with this. You folks are a rare but surprising beautifull find for me.
Cheers, Rgoodbb.
P.S. Hope you survive the WOTC shutdown and offer your guild services to the ENworld or wherever. |

Hey fellas. I'm very sad to hear that the forums are being taken down. Did anyone have any suggestions on a place to carry on this great work?
I have another request for my Paladin character. If someone could remove the Diablo 3 icon, and also remove the flames from the flail, that would be perfect.
Here is a link to a bigger picture which might be better http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/diablo/images/a/a2/CrusaderArt.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130908003619

Well folks,
As the closest thing to a current Keeper of the Thread as this thing has, I'm looking for input from the current image editors as to their thoughts on restarting this thread over on ENWorld...
I'm still using Corel Photopaint 8, which is over fifteen years old at this point, don't have the money for Photoshop and haven't gotten around to learning GIMP yet. So my ability to field requests is seriously limited compared to the rest of you guys/girls.
If any of you photoshoppers are planning to migrate to ENWorld, I'll restart the thread over there. Maybe we'll pull in a couple more volunteers to work the thread. But if none of you are planning to head to ENWorld and continue the work over there, I'll most likely just let this fade away since I don't have much personal time to dedicate to it...
So... Thoughts?

| #738Blue_dragon_cultSep 20, 2015 13:25:44 | Well I sure would miss the thread, it has given me lots of inspiration so far! Im usually a tad unreliable timewise, but would definitely pop in every now and then. Im still noobish at this but would still like to help out a bit. |

| #744Hess72083Sep 26, 2015 18:29:44 | Would you be able to change his hair color to black but keep his stubble the lighter color? Also if you could change the gold trim on the armor red and make the tabard black with a red punisher skull instead of the current design. Also, if you could add a red cape on him as well that would be amazing. Thank you.

Well, folks...
Considering that all people currently active in fielding requests don't seem to mind a change of address, sometime within the next week or two I'll start a thread over at ENWorld.
I'm not sure just which subforum it will be in as they have a different organization of the forums over there, but it may end up in general RPG discussion rather than one of the D&D forums since our work is completely edition/game/genre neutral...
When I have further news about it, I'll let you guys know - I'm going to ask about where to put it over there before I start it.
|
| #750FemChefSR1Sep 30, 2015 10:07:53 | Hah, figures!
I make it back after a few years and then the forum gets shut down? WTF? Got a link to ENWorld? Never heard of it... I feel so behind.
Also, links to image caches would be AMAZING. |

| #752GainVanquishOct 01, 2015 3:55:19 | Hi Guys
Im looking towards one of you art wizards on here for help. My character is a Teifling Monk called Gain Vanquish.
Bit of a back story Gain was a Gold dragon a servant of Bahamut but was banished from the gods and transformed to a Teifling. He hates his appreance and has shaved of his horns.
Im not sure what you guys can come up with. My character has a Katana and a large dragon tattoo up his body with Gold eyes. He has dark / black skin and is covered with a dark hooded robe.
really like the look of this Teiling
Thanks

the middle character is the one i like, can you cut out the one on the left an the right?
secondly, can the axe be removed and instead have a longsword in one hand, and a flintlock pistol in the other? (Witch Hunter-esque basically)
