What Fantasy Character **CAN** You Create?

So I was reading this thread about what types of characters can't be created...

http://community.wizards.com/forum/product-and-general-dd-discussions/threads/4141641

...and I thought I'd turn the topic on its head and discuss ways that certain fantasy archetypes or even specific characters CAN be made using the current ruleset.  No need to go into great detail, just some broad strokes as to how a certain character/character type can be built.

I got the idea while I was watching my son and his bestie play that LoTR game "War in the North" on the PS 3.  For grunts n' chuckles, I thought I'd try making "cinematic Legolas" without building him as a ranger.  So we can use that as a starting point to swap ideas and generally have some lulz.

I built Legolas as a High Elf fighter with the Archer archetype (of course), and True Strike as his Wizard cantrip   I tweaked the Outlander background to make it into more of a "forest guardian," gave him the Champion archetype for the Remarkable Athlete and Improved Crit abilities, and voila!

Merlin?  Ser Jaime Lannister?  Morrigan from "Dragon Age?"  Share your ideas here!  For me next, I think I'll try to build "cinematic Conan;" i.e., the 1981 Schwartenegger version...

EDIT:  And please, for the love of all that's holy, let's NOT turn this into a nerd war about the One True Way(tm) to build a certain character
I intend this thread to be about creativity, not contention

She's (Keladry) from the Protector of the Small books by Tamora Pierce, basically the series follow the trials of Keladry who is trying to become the first Lady Knight in over a century, she also shows especial talent in commanding troops.

This is why she would be a Battle-Master fighter specialising in the Glaive as her preferred Weapon,

So I built "movie" Conan as a Barbarian 1/Fighter 6(Battlemaster) with the Outlander background. Trained in Intimidate, Animal Handling, Perception, Athletics, and Survival. Great Weapon Master (of course) and Tavern Brawler are his feats, with Menacing Attack, Sweeping Attack, and Maneuvering Attack as maneuvers. Also created Li Mu Bai from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. " Monk 9/Fighter 5 (not enough levels to be immune to poison ) Mobile, Athlete, Defensive Duelist, and Resilient (Wis) as feats. Way of the Open Hand and Battlemaster were the subclasses. Disarming Attack, Precision Attack, and Evasive Footwork are the maneuvers.

Kvothe appears to be a bard with one level of monk, the healer feat, and a proficiency in tools that cover alchemy. I am sure there are several approaches to the character.
