You want to be able to direct ranged attacks back at your opponents? Monk can give you that. Warlock can give you repelling blast for ranged pushing. Feel like going all emperor on your adversaries? Pick up Witch Bolt. These are not the droids you are looking for? Charms should suffice. Again, I would look at the Warlock, several invocations can help you with that.
As for the build, If not pure Warlock, I'd probably go something like 7-8 Eldritch Knight / 2-3 Warlock. That should cover a ranged attack with Eldritch Blast and a bonus action attack with a weapon. If you want to focus on maximising damage you could go rogue for some nifty sneak attack damage on your bonus action attack. All three paths should be useful, depending on what you want from your jedi. Otherwise go with your preferred flavour of Monk for increased mobility or charisma-caster for additional casting prowess. |
