It’s been ruled that 1 level of Monk won’t cut it for that extra bonus attack while in animal form. So what other minimally invasive optimization path can you think of for an extra bonus attack while in animal form?
• I did find +Barb 3 for the extra frenzy attack. but Exhaustion is pretty rough unless you KNOW your group is long resting after this specific frenzy battle.
• War cleric 1 does net you your Wis score bonus in bonus attacks per long rest, but that will usually only be 3-4 depending on wis scores. |

| #4Markus.lSep 25, 2014 13:00:18 | Multi-attack + bonus attack = mush better! |
| #5SeraphexSep 25, 2014 13:24:14 | Pick forms with good multiattacks, those override Extra Attack anyways. |
| #6crabcroutonSep 25, 2014 13:55:52 | When you shapeshift, you take the Action listed under the creature's stat block to make an attack. By virtue, you are not taking the Attack action. For instance, a Wolf uses the Bite action; ergo a Druid in wolf form uses the Bite action. Therefore, the War Cleric doesn't work, since it requires using the Attack action; nor would the Monk extra attack work even if you turned into a creature with an unarmed strike.
On the flip side, monsters sometimes have Multiattack built into them: Giant Badger, Giant Scorpion (CR3!), Apes, Polar Bear (CR2, high +hit bonus), etc |

Horde Breaker should work in beast forms, even with Multiattacks. |
