Here is a character I made today at work because I need to look like I'm working on something for a couple hours. I can't decide if he should plan on multiclassing Wizard, Warlock or Chaos Sorceror (I figure if I take 5 levels of Fighter before multiclassing to Wild Sorceror, the fireball I accidentally get on the Surge table should be survivable, at least).

Well, the backstories sound awesome.  How does that floating fireball work into the Sorcerer background?  A stray flame sphere animated by wild magic, perhaps, and lain dormant in the cavern until awakened by the presence of someone with the blood necessary to utilize that excess magical energy?

Also, you can take two Personality Traits.

I would go wizard. with abjuration, specially if you go Eldritch knight with your fighter. The abjuration will give you a protective ward when you cast shield to protect yourself,
