I usually skip most of the Ed Greenwood stuff, but I'm glad I read it today. I've been inspired to create a gnome that is proficient in artisan's tools for woodworking that whittles his own noses. This plays to the older editions' idea of gnomes desiring longer noses, so much so that they have measuring contests. Not sure if this gnome is whittling himself a collection of wooden noses for purely augmentative fasion reasons, or if it started because he truly needed a prosthetic nose, and then started exploring it as an art form. Whatever the original reason, he's surely going to have a nose for every occasion. I'm going to toy with it a bit for now and decide later.   Just thought I'd share.
