I'm restarting up my campaign and cannot for the life of me recall where I originally located rullings on armor and multi-class characters (not dual)

Specifically elves and Magic-users combinations.

My recolection is that Only elven magic-user combinations can wear armor and ONLY elfin chain or magical elfin chain.

1E elves and half-elves can wear any armor if they are fighter/magic-users, or cleric/fighter/magic-users. Gnome multi-classed illusionists are restricted to leather regardless of fighter/illusionist or thief/illusionist. Halflings, dwarves, and half-orcs can't be M-Us. That elfin chain rule may be a 2E thing.
