3.5 alternate save rules?

Anyone have some good alternate save rules for 3.5. i never really liked the save system in 3.5. i like the way they changed it in 4e. just wondering if it would be hard to convert the old save system to something like 4e.

And while I have many hourerules for things I change in various games in 3.5 I, unfortunately, have not come with any changes to saves. They are one of the basics I quite like, I'm odd that way.
