some are hit and miss.

depending on how much you have to do to work/convert it into your campaign.

I like 'em... I've played in Lich Lords, and Giants and run some Ice Elves. Clockwork Mage didn't work very well for my group, but it's a decent thinking-style adventure. Several of the Role Aids books had good maps or ideas, IMHO. They're cheap, too.

Mayfair games? DING! DING! DING! Ringin bells.

Although I didn't know they made adventures, long ago I copped their Demons boxed set. By far the best supplement dealing with demons that I ever saw (at that point). I'm a Ravenloft fan and if I recall correctly, it was around the time Van Richtens Guide To Fiends dropped. I was so disappointed in the way they sugarcoated and sidestepped the whole "demon" issue that I went looking for alternatives.

Saw the MFG Demon supplement on ebay, bought it and fell instantly in love. The player handouts they included in the box are GREAT! Very scary stuff.

I'll throw another vote in for Demons and Demons II. I especially liked the half-demon player race and a number of the Demon artifacts.

I'd suggest picking up To Hell and Back just for the details on the 9 layers of Hell, Dante's Inferno style.

The Archmagic book is so-so and I didn't thoroughly read through the Angel supplement.

I really enjoyed Lichlords when I went through it. I also own the Giants, Undead and Dragon supplements. I find them very useful even now. Get them if you can. My $0.02 at any rate.
