| #4zombiegleemaxFeb 25, 2004 22:05:03 | Our group had a copy of this book in the '80s, but we've misplaced it somehow. There were parts of the book that looked quite interesting. For one, it was tied quite closely to a much more historical Europe, and gave detailed descriptions of both the heavenly and diabolic heirarchies. Interesting stuff, to be sure, but we didn't use it much, if any. |
| #5ThailfiFeb 25, 2004 22:19:30 | My DM got a copy of this book WAAAAY back in the early 80's. The only thing we used (and contine to use) is the character generation tables. The book has a chart that modifies character scores based on their Zodiac sign. About half the signs are good (total positive modifier) and half are bad (total negative modifier). Some are class specific (if you roll roll Taurus you are going to be a fighter). We also use the trait chart. You could get insomniac (-1 con) or you could get born climber (+1 dex). It stinks to want a cleric character and roll atheist. Not much else in the book is very useful. |
