| #1zombiegleemaxAug 09, 2006 1:09:42 | This is just a short starter thread about the time before Dungeons & Dragons. I remember when there was nothing that came from a professional printer. We played on 3x5 index cards and used only 6 sided dice, as many as you could get your hands on. Adventures or campaigns were done on mimeograph machines and mailed or using campus fax machines we sent them to the few players/creators that there was then. Then came the First book I remember a real professioal book compared to our zip binders it was called Tunnels and Trolls. The the dawn of Gary's World that little blue booklet it's here somewhere I think buried in the great hall of history(the Garage). I saw gary's avatar are we that old and I was the kid then. Ha! he's got to be pushin 70...LOL and whats that they say. OH...the sands of time. I'm glad I found this site...Homage to the Gods of Random Chance...I thought all this was gone long ago. Once more I walk in the lands of Fantasy. |
