| #1zombiegleemaxJul 15, 2004 5:27:48 | Probably showing my age here, but does anyone know of or have a code wheel to use on SSI's AD+D products Pool of Radiance or Curse of the Azure Bonds for Commodore 64? Even a code wheel crack might help. If any one has solutions.. please help. |
| #2zombiegleemaxJul 15, 2004 10:00:22 | i've got one at home somewhere. i'll see if i can find it. |

| #4dielzenJul 16, 2004 19:48:26 | hmm, that the one with Dethek and Espruar runes? I might have the one for IBM version floating around somewhere, I would assume they're the same. |
| #5zombiegleemaxJul 17, 2004 5:20:47 | I've reworked the code-wheels to a word-list which can be used by comparing the Espruar and Dethek runes, subtracting one value from another and finding the resulting index on the list. The method works universally for both the Pool of Radiance and Curse of the Azure Bonds game, only the word-list is different. I also have the code wheels to all of them actually. I'll try to find the cracked one, it's much better prepared for digital conversion. And yes, the same code wheels have been used for all the versions they've done, including the PC's and the C64's. Hillsfar also uses a code wheel for the game, if I'm not mistaken. Regards, Glorfinden |
| #6zombiegleemaxJul 18, 2004 5:50:04 | Thanx guys.. I had found a c64 emulator on the web. (Along with gold box Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, and Pools of Darkness) It is sad that these classics require such obscure material to play. One good note-- I have hunted the web and have at least found .pdfs of the game books. As far as the codewheel, alas, alot of deadends. Please keep me up to date with what you find.. One cool childhood memory from a long time ago... I vaguely remember my 10th to 11th level party in Curse running into a meeting (more like a convention!!) of beholders and drow. I also remember my party getting stomped! Thanx.. |

| #8zombiegleemaxJul 19, 2004 4:48:52 | I found the crack! :-) I sent you a private message, greenwyrm! I'm not sure if I should openly talk about it though, even if that program is 15 years old. Damn copyright issues! Glorfinden |
