| #1zombiegleemaxApr 30, 2007 17:54:03 | I was relating some of the stories of a campaign that I played once in the council of Wyrms campaign setting and well... my players are hooked on the idea. Now I could run this out of the original 2nd Edition rules but most of my players are still not used to 2nd edition and are more familiar with 3.0/3.5. So has anyone done a conversion for this great campiagn setting? If not I may try to work one up. |
| #2HigmortonMay 02, 2007 16:06:22 | Two books that might help you, Races of Dragon, and the Draconomicon, both ain 3.5 so, I would say use your 2nd ed campaign, setting and maps, and just substitute the rules with those two books. |

| #4zombiegleemaxMay 13, 2007 17:29:31 | Can be lots of fun, but playing as dragons unless they are all the same ECL it can be a bit of a challenge. I made the mistake of allowing templetes to balance out some of the weaker dragons. BIG MISTAKE!!! Started out as hatchlings against ogres with a skullcrusher ogre boss, still ended up a slaughter via the dragons flight ability. |
| #5AmarilMay 15, 2007 13:38:24 | Dragon #320 has rules for playing metallic dragons from 1st-20th level. Dragon #332 had rules for chromatic dragons. PS - You might find some value in Dragon Magic, too. I'm planning on using Council of Wyrms as a basis for creating a homebrew dragon-themed campaign setting that uses material from Draconomicon, Races of the Dragon, and Dragon Magic, as well as the Dragon Shaman from Player's Handbook II. |
