Jun 30, 2004 13:56:04 I was a young lad when i first picked this adventure up. Boy was it neat, but I have a lot of unanswered questions about it. Any clarification from those in the know would be greatly appreciated.

Who was the Tang lord Krelloc, and was he ever statted?

Did the world ever get any other supplements?

When was the world started, and why was it discontinued?

I know radoc was exiled to faerun in first edition. He later left. Where did he go? Is there a continuation of the story anywhere?

Were any parts of this adventure ever updated to 3rd edition? I would love to see the Egg of the Phoenix statted out!

Were there ever any earlier stories printed?

It is a compilation of RPGA modules by Frank Mentzer, first published in 1982 and 83. These modules were:
R1 To the Aid of Falx
R2 Investigation of Hydell
R3 Egg of the Phoenix
R4 Doc's Island

They are quite rare and can fetch $70 to $100 at auction, depending on their condition.

They were originally not tied together plot-wize, however, they were all set on the same continent. This continent was supposed to be on the same world as Greyhawk, but on the other side of the world from the established areas.

These were compiled together as I12 Egg of the Phoenix in 1987. Edited by Paul Jaquays. He tied the plots together, and made some additions and deletions. I don't know enough about either the original modules or I12 to go into details on the differences.

Supposedly some of the characters from I12 were also in FR5 The Savage Frontier (also by Paul Jaquays) but I don't know enough about either product to confirm or deny that.

Jun 30, 2004 15:22:12 Other side of greyhawk, eh? Pretty cool. I remember people thinking faerun was on the other side of greyhawk, maybe due to the fact that there were some characters in this module that added to the confusion. Thanks for your reply.
