Hi all...
I just got the Forgotten Realms atlas for PC from a friend of mine, and he told me that i would also need 3 updated to download.
When i checked it out at wizards.com for the updates i couldn't download them.
Can anyone tell me where i can find these updates on the internet?
thanks.

Try this link ThunderMare, I am not sure if this is where you tried to download, but they are here in pieces or as one large download:

Hope this one works!

I want to go on the record as saying I think WotC should sell or volunteer up the rights to the Atlas to Profantasy in order to have a place to go to get complete updates, maps, patches, and tips on everything Atlas. I think it's a travesty that a beautiful program like the Atlas is no longer supported by the fans because of legalities for a product Wizards themselves no longer supports and lets die a slow death. My globe feature, for example, no longer functions, and I think it's because of system upgrades, but there's nothing I can do about it because it's no longer being supported by Wizards AND they won't give up rights to a "dead" program (seemingly, in their eyes) to allow someone else to pick it up and keep it going. I just pray my Atlas never develops a critical issue with it greater then the globe.

Cmon Wizards! Give it up! You don't use or support it any longer! Let the fans!

Great thought Varl, I completely agree. Great job.

Have you tried to re-install it? I have all of the patches and maps installed and mine works fine. But I do agree with you that WOTC should let others continue the work on it.

Not yet, and frankly, I'm a little scared to try. I've got it backed up just in case, but I'm fearful of a more serious install or issue it might have, particularly seeing how it work fine now. Then again, if the thing does give me the bird, I can always open up FCWs in CC2, so there is that. I'll let you know how it goes and if I get my globe back. I'm just hoping that, since java has been upgraded many times over since Wizards let the Atlas go, that this isn't what's causing the globe to malfunction. We'll see.

Did you know that there are two maps that get erased if you don't install the patches in a certain way?

No, but I do now. I must not have installed the patches the right way, way back then. I noticed a poster in that other thread found a workaround. Cool!
