No, those were the Tinker Gnomes that designed devices that were intended for something else but usually ended up doing something along that line. Those were right next to the Unintentional Killers Guild (the largest one)

Well, my oldest daughter will be 8 in July and she's been reading my old Endless Quest books and has expressed an interest in playing. (She especially likes "Return to Brookmere" which is funny since that was my first and favorite as well.)
I think I'm going to start a game with her and maybe my six year old. Probaly use the Moldvay rules set.

I got my oldest son into the endless quest books, he enjoyed them as well. I'm gonna do the same with my two younger ones. I have always believed that D&D as a learning tool is invaluable.
math, history, problem solving, reading, cultural geography. It's a shame the narrow minded people attached such a negative stigma to the game and the hobby in general. i would have loved to see the results of a study where gaming was made a part of the curriculum.
