For those that don't know C&C is based on the OGL but returns the game to the classical versions of D&D. It is very compatable with all older D&D editions and has ressurected many a dead D&D campaign. I know I am currently reviving a 1e FR game and starting a new Greyhawk game based in the folio of 1980 fame. Anyway if you haven't it's worth chacking out at: www.trolllord.com |

Neither did it fill the need I had for an in-print game that was--IMHO--as good an introduction to the hobby for the un-mentored as the classic D&D basic sets were. But, I'd happily play a C&C game if someone were running it. Or if the players seriously balked at classic D&D but were OK with C&C, I wouldn't mind running it. Most importantly, I expect to be able to easily use C&C supplements--or even things out of the PHB--in my classic D&D games. |
