| #3dcandersonAug 16, 2007 20:08:36 | hey welcome to the dregdes of humanity. those that play editions of D&D other than the most current. Does it hurt up there on your cross? |
| #4shadzarAug 16, 2007 22:47:20 | Does it hurt up there on your cross? no being heartless for all these years and evil to the core means all the blood and ability to feel dried up years ago. ;) |

| #6extempusAug 17, 2007 23:21:33 | Now that 4e is coming out, we'd better get reeeeally used to this place! Haha! I'll admit I don't follow the current stuff much (hardly ever, in fact)... so... is this a joke, or are you serious??? LOL |
| #7extempusAug 17, 2007 23:30:10 | Ok, I just found this link in another thread: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=349417 All I can say is: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Suckers. 1e lasted till ca. 1988, and 2e lasted till 2000, both more than a decade each. Now, in a period of just 8 years, we have 3.0, 3.5 and now 4.0! Doesn't that strike anyone as odd??? Not me... I was fairly certain with the release of 3.0 that it was nothing more than a moneymaking scheme, but with 3.5 hot on it's heels, forcing everyone to buy the same (updated?) books all over again, I knew that it was nothing more than that. I'm staying with 1e, thank you very much. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Suckers. |
| #8kengarAug 18, 2007 7:47:43 | Everyone should just play nice with each other. If some 3.X players have been less than tolerant of we grognards, why sink to that level? And why hold every 3.X-er responsible for individuals who act immaturely? |
| #9rubermavorsAug 18, 2007 14:14:14 | ey it's not the end of the world. just the one that you know. there are many people who just take the newer stuff and convert it back to older editions. i frequently take new modules and just use the background, maps, and flavor text for 2nd ed. i'm sure that with time you can do the same with 4th. now that that is out of the way. mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha:evillaugh |
| #10rubermavorsAug 18, 2007 14:15:31 | strange the evillaugh smiley didnt work. lets try that again :evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh |
| #11havardAug 18, 2007 15:57:03 | Everyone should just play nice with each other. Well said! Havard |
| #12true_atlanteanAug 26, 2007 23:53:41 | Welcome aboard everyone. Really, the point of this place is to share a general love of (A)D&D in any form not currently supported by Wizards, so where we may wax poetical sometimes over the (obvious :D ) benefits of 1st and 2nd ed, that means we'll have to place nicely with all those who don't want to upgrade. As I said before, welcome everyone, find a nice place in the retirement village and remember to put your false teeth in before biting off more than you can chew. :D |
| #13horemheb442Sep 05, 2007 11:25:15 | Who would have thought...poetic justice in this day and age? Please, just keep this forum sepatate from the AD&D ones. though. ![]() |
