Sep 28, 2003 17:59:02 I need some info out of the "Monster Mythology" 2nd ed AD&D soft-cover blue book.

Can anyone with this book post it here or e-mail me (preferably) ?

I need the granted powers that the Duergar goddess, "Deep Duerra", grants her clerics ???

I was able to download this book from a site, but could not unzip it as it required the 2nd ed Core Rules CD, which I no longer have.

I actually was able to find the same info on the Duergar god, Laduguer, on another site, but Deep Duerra proved mission impossible.

First thing the information is not found in the Monster Mythology.
No mention of her there.
She is found in Forgotten realms Demihuman & Dieties.
Page 54

Demipower of Acheron LE
Portfolio: Psionics, Conquest, Expansion, Duergar Warriors,
Duergar Psionics.

Major Spheres: All, Combat, Divination, Elemental (Earth)
Gaurdian, Healing, Law, Thought, War.

Minor Spheres: Necromancy, Sun (Reversal only), Travelers.

The file states that it is from "Monster Mythology", but I could be wrong.

I am confused because the granted powers granted by Laduguer (the main Duergar deity) to his clerics are the same

1st: thought capture
3rd: detect psionics
5th: deflect psionics
7th: augment psionics
10th: mind blank
13th: lower resistance
15th: mindshatter
as per p.56 of the Demihumans Deities book.

I presume that thought capture, detect psionics, deflect psionics, augment psionics and mind shatter are all psionic abilities from the 2nd ed Psionics Handbook ?

While Lower Resistance and Mind Blank are the spells from Tome of Magic and PHB, respectively.

There must of been 2 versions of Deep Duerra in 2nd ed, the zip file I have from Planet AD&D has a diferent version of Deep Duerra, but I can't open it w/o the use of the 2nd ed Core Rules CD.

In your last post you said that the granted powers are right out of the Monster Mythology book

Are you sure you didn't mix them up with the granted powers that Laduguer grants his clerics, which are basically the same
(I guess it is possible that they both grant the same granted powers)

Sorry for being a pain, but I need it to be the correct info.

Laduguer and Deep Duerra are separate powers in the Forgotten Realms. The powers of Laduguer's priests are as described by Meyanna, and Demihuman Deities adds a bit to it. Deep Duerra's priests are as described by sandskimmer, and only found in the demihuman deities book.
