#1 zombiegleemax Mar 31, 2004 8:39:25	Ok, I know how Psionics actually work but I cannot find any proper description and rulings under what circumstances a psionicist is allowed to use its powers. In the 'Players Handbook' it is detailed how Priest and Mages must work their powers. They need to speak, fuddle and wave around with their hands and so on. So they cannot fight, because they need to use their hands, they cannot shout because the need to shant and so on. But Psionicist allways can say 'I just need to think', so I can fight and so on. Actually it is of no problem to say 'No! I am the DM. YOU CANT'. Especially of interest would be the case if a Psionicist is held tight by someone, can he still use his powers? Any opinion, thought, advise...

#3 zombiegleemax Mar 31, 2004 20:49:41	well if you play second edition.. the psionic need the round to concentrate so he cannot attack while concentrate , he can onle move at 1/2 of this speed, this is said in the psionic book, but a power cannot be interrupted( well if it is how we played it. also check t the end of the psionic book, there is a list of spell that counter the spionic effect.. like have a ring of free action (sry im french i dont know now the traduction), and other..
#4 sildatorak Apr 01, 2004 3:27:29	I'm going totally off of memory on a character that I played years ago, so I may be completely wrong on this one. I think that the psionicist can have concentration interupted by a successful attack. I wouldn't let them concentrate if someone has them in a wrestling hold or successfully overborne unless they make a wisdom check -4 or something like that (if I even allowed it at all).
