I refer to the old boxed sets, from basic (level 1-3) to immortals rules (level 36+).
How many stages of immortal were there between level 36 and Grand Hierarch?

Immortals have 36th levels, just like mortals, grouped in 6 blocks of 6 levels (Novice, Temporal, Celestial, Empyreal, Eternal, Hierarch).
The Ruling Hierarchs are 36th level Immortals.

Ah! Thank you thank you. Very good of you.

I don't know about the Wrath of the Immortals accessory, but there are 30 levels in the Immortal set. Agathokles was right that each rank is grouped into six levels, but the Novice rank only had one level. So I guess there were 31 levels if you count Novice. However, in my games I tended to count Temporal 1 as the first level, and Novice as sort of a preliminary phase (but not a level).

Yes, my answer is based on WotI, which updates the Immortal rules to the Rules Cyclopedia edition.
However, the "Novice" rank title is not accurate, the correct name (in WotI at least) is Initiate.

Back when I first started playing 2nd edition, our DM converted the immortals rules. It was alot of fun, crusing the planes & whatnot.

The way we did them WAS a tad munchkin, tho... ;)
