#1 kar-vermin Mar 05, 2007 14:37:04	Technically, these questions are relevant to both 1st and 3rd edition, because I'm trying to find out if there is any crossover. First edition Fiend Folio had monsters called "Mezzodaemons" and "Nycadaemons," residing in the Lower Planes between Hell and the Abyss. Were these creatures carried into 3rd edition under a new name, or did they simply vanish? Related query. The good 'ol Type IV demon. What is its name? #5 zombiegleemax Mar 05, 2007 23:31:13	I am certain I have seen Nycoloth and Mezzoloth in 3.5. Monster Manual III I believe. Any yes, pretty much anything with a loth on the end of it is part of the yugoloth race, cept sloth.

Any yes, pretty much anything with a loth on the end of it is part of the yugoloth race, cept sloth. I thought a sloth was like a yugoloth's lazy cousin. :D

I was trying to find out if the Mezzodaemon of 1st edition ever made it into the current 3rd (actually 3.5) edition of D&D. Having perused the Monster Manual III, I see it has (as the Mezzoloth, a form of yugoloth).
