One of the two (Ligers and Tigons) is a male lion bred with a female tiger and one of them is a male tiger bred with a female lion -- but I can't remember which is which. I guess this is what happens when zookeepers get bored. (ps: just clicked NeutralNeutral's link above and found out my post was rendundant)
