| #1phaaf_glienNov 21, 2006 3:41:23 | hey there everyone. i just had a general question. does anyone remember that old regular dungeons and dragons beginners' boxed-set that came out some time in the nineties that had that weird semi-live-action video that came with it? it was one of those basic introductory boxed-sets with this cheesy VHS video that blended live-action characters with quite poorly wrought computer animation. it was the one that showed the dm that looked like he had a floating head. the video adventure had a wizard that summoned and/or turned into a red dragon. i'm sure at least one of you guys has seen it. anywho, i don't remember the boxed-set's exact title, and i was hoping someone could tell me how to find it, or how to find the video online. need some help here... because, without looking too deep, i just can't find it that easily. thanks for any help you guys can offer. |

It also has a subtitle that is "The introduction to Role-Playing games" I think First Quest came with a CD, not a video. I remember seeing ads for the one with the video, but I'm not sure what it was called (and a quick glance through the TSR Archive didn't turn anything up). |

| #6realmasterNov 22, 2006 17:06:39 | if you could realmaster, it would be appreciated! Hi, thank you for posting I forgot to check. The game that I have with a video is called dragon strike. I hope that is what you are looking for. ![]() |
| #7sgt_dNov 22, 2006 17:11:56 | The game that the VHS video came with was, in fact, DragonStrike. A friend of mine still has it. By far, it was quite the video of cheese, but fun! ![]() Also, if anyone cares, Ral Partha made a miniature set for this game, too. There were some pretty cool minis in the set (sold separate, I believe). |
