#1 weasel_fierce Jun 12, 2005 11:32:11	so managed to find no less than 4 people at work, that play, or want to play, D&D. The spread is: My wife who has mainly been playing in my last oAD&D campaign. Dude 1: Primarily 3.5 Dude 2: Played AD&D once when he was 13. Dude 3: No real tabletop RPG experience except for watching a few games Dude 4: AD&D2nd edition mainly, though he also played in my oAD&D game. There's a potential dude 5, another 3.5 player (and a fanatic at that ). Of course, we'll be playing Moldvay's Classic / Expert game, with some later stuff thrown in. Will let you know how it fares

#4 weasel_fierce Jun 13, 2005 0:29:03	First game session went well, though mostly investigation. 4 characters at this point. And it panned out to be the classic combo.. a thief, a fighter, a magic user and a cleric. I didnt even coerce anyone into that Scenario is basic investigation, and a conspiracy. The game ended as it was drawing late, and the players were preparing to raid a goblin cave, to liberate prisoners sold out by the corrupt priesthood of the local village.

#6 zombiegleemax Jul 01, 2005 9:36:22	i'm here to tell you it can be done. after 7 years of patiently hounding bulletin boards, newsgroups, and message boards i scrounged up enough players to once again play OD&D. we just had our 1 year anniversary of the campaign. keep at it. you will be rewarded. :D
