| #1protonik_dupAug 23, 2004 1:31:59 | I was wanting some feedback on Night Below. What is it like? Is it any good? I was not a big fan of Dragon Mountain, viewing it as being a bit on the reptitive end but I have seen some of Sargent's work and really liked it. How does Night Below stack against his work on Greyhawk and Warhammer? J |

There are RP opportunities to gain valuable allies in this quest (also friendship of a elusive race and knowledge of a forgotten one). However, the book constantly makes reference to "side adventures". Moveover, the main crux of the adventure is never fully resolved until the very end (see spoilers**). Overall good if you like the 'save the world from doom' type scenarios * * * SPOILER * * ** Jenneleth the mage is kidnapped by a group of bandits. The bandits are working with the orcs who ultimately work with the mind flayers and aboleth below. Jenneleth is not found until you find the aboleth city. I would place her somewhere inbetween (orc barrens is a good location or near the gnomes). The adventure ends at that point. The adventurer's are heroes. Then about a month later another mage is kidnapped!. There is still more to find! |

| #5zombiegleemaxSep 17, 2004 10:17:41 | It was not a bad campaign at all. I played in a few of the adventures but the group fell apart because of in-fighting and also because the DM didnt show up for a month straight. THe game was made up of newbies except for moi. It was not fun in that situation. |
| #6zombiegleemaxSep 19, 2004 15:13:56 | Night Below is probably my all time favorite adventure. I ran it for close to 2 years. Unfortunately we never finished it because some of the players moved away. On the plus side it has a lot of interesting side adventures and locations to visit. The main adventure is quite good and keeps the players focused. On the negative side, like a lot of 2e mods it gets wordy...a lot of wasted space on filler that could of gone into something else. Makes it difficult to track important info at times. |
