Oriental advertures 1st addition

Jun 08, 2004 17:17:45 Does any one know were I can find the 1st additions to oriental advetures. Our can it be down loaded and printed. I looked on ebay nad have not seen it there. prehaps it is rare but maybe some of you have ideas.

Jun 08, 2004 18:07:50 AD&D Oriental adventures is available used from Amazon.com. Just go to their main page and search in the "books" section for Gary Gygax Oriental Adventures and it should come up.

It's also available as a .pdf download from svgames.

The price for the used hardcopy and the .pdf is almost the same. ~$5.00 for both.

Jun 09, 2004 11:16:29 I got that old OA hardcover joint. Gygax wrote it right? I also have the Kara-Tur boxed set as well as every module written for the OA setting.

Those were LONG, detailed and COMPLEX adventures if I remember correctly. But they were really, really REALLY cool. "Blood of the Yakuza" and things of that nature. Hot stuff.

My understanding is that it was almost solely Cook, and that most of Foideval's stuff was left on the cutting room floor, so to speak.

Jun 10, 2004 7:02:34 That's how I understood it, too: Froideval knew his concept material, and Cook knew what he wanted for the game, so it ended up being Cook milking Froideval.

Sounds to me like you're using a 3e supplement to it's maximum efficiency...
